    WORKSHEET NO. 3
    VIEWING ANIMAL AND PLANT CELL

    OBJECTIVES:
    1. To observe and compare animal cells and plant cells, identifying key differences between the
    two cell types.

    MATERIALS:
    Microscope Dropper
    Glass Slides Cover Slip
    Sperm Cell Hydrilla

    PROCEDURE:
    1. Place one drop of water on a clean glass slide using a glass pipette.
    2. Carefully place a cover slip on top of the water droplet, avoiding air bubbles.
    3. For the animal sperm cell slide:
     Place the slide on the microscope stage.
     Start at low magnification and focus on the sperm cells.
     Gradually increase the magnification to High Power Objective
    4. For the Hydrilla plant cell slide:
     Replace the slide with the Hydrilla plant cell slide on the microscope stage.
     Start at low magnification and focus on the plant cells.
     Gradually increase the magnification to High Power Objective
