Reflective Report - Business Analyst Intern
Reflective Report - Business Analyst Intern
A UK-based IT company called SysGlobal IT Ltd. has offered me the chance to work as a Business Analyst
Intern there beginning on January 23, 2023. I had a hazy concept of what the job entailed. Business
analysis appeared to be a very demanding and fascinating future career. I was unsure of what was
expected of me as an intern and how I would contribute going into my first day. My goal was to become
familiar with the business analyst's perspective and how this position fits into the larger organisational
structure. I received a clear description of the roles and duties of a business analyst, which included
examining any gaps or hazards in business processes. Identifying more effective alternatives and
recommending them to the clients. I assisted business analysts in writing user stories and helped to
prepare business specification documents. The Product Owners and I worked together a little bit to define
the business needs. Basic administrative duties included making copies, managing files, and creating
presentations, among others. I was also assigned the crucial task of assessing the effects of process
changes while informing management of any changes.
I was asked to evaluate the macro and micro environmental circumstances that organisations deal with in
order to increase the efficiency of operations. Examining the circumstances limiting the expansion of the
ventures presented me with major challenges. I was able to see errors and come to wise conclusions to
add value for our clients because to business analytics. Working for the organisation has also exposed me
to a variety of jobs that I could complete and report on.
Conclusion
I'd want to summarise how the work of the business analyst is changing. As technology has advanced
from paper-based documentation to big data analytics, businesses have become more aware of the
importance of having solid business requirements to back their IT initiatives. The goals are wise because
the BA must have a thorough awareness of the business, be aware of the general goals, and
comprehend the consumers' pain points and what they value. In addition to having a solid
comprehension of the data, the business analyst must also have a solid understanding of technology. Of
course, a good analyst needs to be able to analyse and think critically. These are all excellent objectives
for being a successful BA.
