 CARPENTRY

Carpentry, is the art and trade of cutting,

working, and joining timber. This includes
both structural timberwork in framing and
items like doors, windows, staircases and
etc.
 Trigonometry is used in Carpentry. You know, the craft of cutting, forming and joining
wood to create structures. In carpentry, there are angled cuts like the ones usually found
on the frames of cabinets, windows, doors. And to be able to create these perfect cuts,
carpenters use trigonometry to find the right angle to cut the wood.
 ASTRONOMY
It is the study of the universe which is
beyond Earth's atmosphere. This includes
suns, planets, stars and other celestial
objects.

How is Trigonometry used in

Astronomy?

Trigonometry is also used by astronomers

to determine how far apart stars and planets
are from Earth. Another, the Pythagorean
Theorem is used as a technique for space
traveling, as Trigonometry also calculate
distances, it is also used to calculate the
paths of a spacecraft to reach space.
 ARCHITECTURE
Architecture is the practice of designing and
constructing constructions. Architects, study math
to create an accurate measurement for their
desigin infrastructures. And with trigonometry, it
helps architects find measurements for roof slopes,
ground surfaces, height and width of structures
and many more. There are structures that have
obviously used trigonometry. Like the Pyramid of
Giza and the Louvre Pyramid; as design shows they
would use trigonometry to perfect the shape of the
triangle.
CIVIL ENGINEERING
Speaking of structure designs, civil
engineers apply into real life the designs
made by architects. And by that, civil
engineers also use trigonometry for
calculating structure and angles. Examples
are torques and forces, they calculate these
for bridges or building girders. Trigonometry
is also used to calculate the height and width
of construction projects such as roads,
airports, sewage, tunnels and many more.
 GAME
DEVELOPMENT
Trigonometry is also used in game
development. Game development is all about
creating games. Have you ever played Angry
birds? Super Mario? Well in game development,
trigonometry plays a big role in the functions of
the game. It is used for designing movements
of objects and characters, it is used for x and y
angles for looking around and it is also used for
making sceneries.
 Crime scene investigators also use
FORENSIC trigonometry in crime scenes. They use it
for identifying blood splatter, angle
SCIENCE impact, bullet trajectory and location of
objects. Which will all be useful evidences
throughout the investigation.

MARINE BIOLOGY
Marine Biology is the study of marine
organisms. Trigonometry is used in this
field in measuring distance between
celestial bodies and identifying the size
the marine animals.
