Cement Grout Mix Design
Trial No.: - 01 Date: - 13.04.2022

 Cement grout is a mixture of cement, water, with or without aggregate and with or
without admixture.
 Cement grout is used for crack repairing, filling the voids of post-Tensioned cable in
prestressed concrete bridges etc.

STIPULATIONS FOR PROPORTIONONG

Type of Mix : Cement Grout
Type of Cement : OPC-43 Grade
Maximum water cement Ratio : 0.45 (As per MoRT&H 5th Revision Appendices 1800/III)
Minimum Compressive Strength : At 7 Days 27 N/mm2 & at 28 Days 30 N/mm2
Admixture : Fosroc Cebex 100

MATERIALS DETAILS
Material Description Source Batch No/week No.
Cement OPC-43 Ultratech Cement 10/2022
Water - Bore Water Base Camp
Admixture Cebex 100 Fosroc Chemicals (India) Pvt.Ltd. IN1MF00407003K

SELECTION OF WATER-CEMENT RATIO

As per Admixture recommended Dosage, adopted water-cement ratio = 0.44 ≤0.45 (As Per
MoRT&H 5th Revision Appendices-1800/III Clause.4.1)
Hence Ok.

Dosage of Admixture recommended (by Cebex-100 Specification)

OPC Concreting Sand Water Cebex 100 Approx. Yield
50 Kg - 20-22 litres 225 gm 36 litres
50 kg 50 kg 22-24 litres 225 gm 57 litres
Note: For grout, mortar, or concrete mixes with an aggregate/cement ratio more than 1, 4
x 225 g units of Cebex 100 per 100 kg of cement, shall be used.
DESIGN CALCULATION
Cement Content : 50 kg W/C = 0.44
Water-Cement ratio : 0.44
Then,
Water Content : 22.0 kg
Admixture Quantity : 0.225 kg Water = 0.44 x Cement

MIX PROPORTION FOR TRIAL OF CUBE CASTING AND OTHER REQUIRED TEST
No of Cube Casted= 9 nos.
Cement Content : 18 kg
Water-Cement ratio : 0.44
Water Content : 7.92 kg
Admixture Quantity : 81.0 gm
