1. Introduction
Welcome to the biggest Article Writing Competition of the year
organized by IEEE KUET Student Branch. This competition is
designed to encourage and showcase the writing talent of
undergraduate students from any university. The competition
will be a hybrid event, with an online round followed by an offline
round.

2. Eligibility
Any undergraduate student from any university can
participate in the competition.
Participants must register online to be eligible to submit their
articles.
One participant can submit more than one article, but they
must pay extra processing fees for each additional article.

3. First round - Online Round

3.1 Registration Process


Participants must register for the competition through the
official event page
During registration, participants need to provide their
personal information, university details, and contact
information.
Upon successful registration, participants will receive a
unique coding system for each article they submit.
3.2 Payment Process

To make a payment through bKash, please follow these steps:


Pay BDT 200 to bKash personal number ( 01906277118 /
01990767852 ). The process of making a payment through
bKash is described in the attached image.
Enter the reference "Authorsgate 3.0 " in the bKash payment
details.
Fill out the Authorsgate 3.0 registration google form.
Make sure to enter the bKash transaction ID (TrxId) correctly
in the Google form.
To make a payment through Rocket, please follow these steps:
Send BDT 200 to Rocket personal number ( 019062771183 )
The process of making a payment through Rocket is described
in the attached image.
Fill out the Authorsgate 3.0 registration google form.

Make sure to enter the Rocket transaction ID (TrxId) correctly


in the Google form.

To make a payment through Nagad , please follow these steps

Open Nagad send money menu


Enter the Nagad account number of the recipient
( 01704839048 ) and the send BDT 200
Enter Authorsgate 3.0 as a reference
Enter your Nagad mobile menu PIN to confirm the
transaction
Fill out the Authorsgate 3.0 registration google form.

Make sure to enter the Nagad transaction ID (TrxId) correctly


in the Google form.

3.3 Article Submission

Registered participants can submit their articles through the


provided link in the confirmation email & use the unique code
mentioned in the confirmation email assigned after registration.
Each registered participant is allowed to submit one article per
registration.

The article submitted should have a minimum word count of


1000 words.
Plagiarism is strictly discouraged. Articles generated by AI or
having a similarity index above the specified threshold (5-10%)
will be disqualified from evaluation.

To submit your article, follow these steps:

1. Complete the event registration by filling out the form and


making the required payment.
2. After successful registration, you will receive an email containing
the link for article submission along with clear submission
instructions.
3. Ensure to submit your article before the submission deadline
provided in the email.
4. The article must be in .pdf format for submission.
5. Please make sure your article adheres to the following criteria
before submission:
Font style: Times New Roman
Font size: 12
Page margins should be set to "Normal" (Top-1", Bottom-1",
Left-1", Right-1")
The main points in your article can be made "Bold," but
the rest of the text should be in normal font.
Rename your PDF file following this format:
"Your Unique Code.pdf"
6. Once you have ensured that your article meets the
submission criteria, you can proceed to fill-up the
submission form.

3.4 Evaluation Criteria for Online Round

The evaluation process will be transparent and impartial.


Judges will assess articles based on their formal presentation,
conciseness, technical soundness, legibility, vocabulary, and
overall structure (flow of information).
Proper citation of sources, if any, is essential. The use of
copyrighted materials without permission will lead to
disqualification.
The articles can use tables and figures, but they should be
well-explained in their corresponding passages.
Contents and images used in the articles should be copyright-
free.
Encouragement to use Microsoft Visio/Adobe Illustrator to
create original figures, graphs, or visuals.

4. Offline Round

4.1 Selection Process


After the online segment, the judges will select the top 40
performing participants for the offline writing competition.
The results of online round will be published in our Facebook
page.
4.2 Offline Round Guidelines

All participants must be physically present on the day of


competition.
Participants will be tasked with writing a short article on a
provided topic within a predetermined timeframe.
The topics will be presented to them visually through still or
motion pictures on the spot to showcase their spontaneous
creativity.
Besides participants will be presented with a real-world tech
problem that will demand their perspective and visionary
thinking.
These writings will be evaluated based on the quality of the
written content, effective use of visuals, technical accuracy,
and language proficiency.

5. The Final Evaluation

The final evaluation will be based on the combined


performances of participants in both the online and offline
segments.
The weighted grading system will consider the significance of
each segment's score in determining the final outcome.
The objective is to ensure that both segments carry
appropriate weightage in the overall assessment, promoting
fairness and accuracy.
Participants who excel in both segments will have an
advantage in securing higher positions in the competition.
6. Prizes and Recognition

The top performers in both the online and offline rounds will
be recognized and awarded prizes.
All participants will receive participation certificates.
All finalists for offline round will receive T-shirt, gifts, lunch
and snacks.
Total Prize worth: 45k
Prize Money: 35k
Online courses worth: 10k

2. 1st Runner Up: 10k Prize money + 100% scholarship of
‘Research Paper Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
3. 2nd Runner Up: 5k Prize money + 100% scholarship of
‘Research Paper Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
4. 4th place: 3k Prize money +80% discount of ‘Research Paper
Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
5. 5th place: 2k Prize money + 80% discount of ‘Research Paper
Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
6. The top 10 participants will be offered 80% discount of
‘Research Paper Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
7. The finalists for offline round will be offered 50% discount of
‘Research Paper Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
8. All the participants will be offered 30% discount of ‘Research
Paper Writing Course’ from Amar ischool
7. Disqualification

Participants name in the article is strictly prohibited.If any


article contains name of the participants , he/she will be
disqualified.
Articles submitted by non-registered participants will be
discarded.
Articles found to contain copyrighted materials without
permission will be disqualified.

8. Event Organizers' Rights

The organizers have the right to pull down any article that is
found to have copyright issues or faces copyright claims.
The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and
binding.
