Please describe the type of system being developed.

The system being developed is a food restaurant website. This website will serve as an
online platform for our restaurant, allowing customers to access information about our
menu, place orders for delivery or pickup, make reservations, and learn more about our
establishment. It will feature an intuitive user interface designed with HTML and CSS for
a visually appealing and user-friendly experience. JavaScript will be used to enhance the
website's interactivity, enabling features such as real-time order tracking, dynamic menu
updates, and responsive design for various devices. Overall, the website aims to provide
a seamless and convenient online dining experience for our customers while showcasing
our restaurant's offerings and ambiance.
Who is system being developed for?

1. Customers: The primary audience for the website is your restaurant's customers. It's
designed to cater to their needs by providing an online platform where they can view the
menu, place orders, make reservations, and get information about the restaurant's
location, hours of operation, and contact details.
2. Restaurant Owners/Management: The website also serves the restaurant's owners and
management team. It allows them to showcase their menu, promote their brand, and
manage online orders and reservations efficiently. They can also use it as a marketing
tool to attract new customers.
3. Delivery Personnel: If your restaurant offers delivery services, the website can be used by
delivery personnel to receive and fulfill orders. It might include features like order
tracking and delivery instructions.
4. Marketing and Sales Teams: Your marketing and sales teams can use the website to
promote special offers, events, and promotions, attracting more customers and increasing
sales.
5. Web Developers/Designers: The development team responsible for creating and
maintaining the website will also benefit from a clear understanding of the system's
purpose and requirements.

Why is such a system required?

1. Online Presence: In today's digital age, having an online presence is essential for any
business, including restaurants. A website provides a virtual storefront where potential
customers can discover your restaurant, learn about your offerings, and get in touch.
2. Accessibility: A website allows your restaurant to be accessible 24/7. Customers can
browse your menu, place orders, and make reservations at their convenience, even
outside of your regular business hours.
3. Convenience for Customers: Many customers prefer the convenience of browsing menus
and placing orders online. A well-designed website can streamline the ordering and
reservation process, making it easier and faster for customers to engage with your
restaurant.
4. Marketing and Promotion: A website serves as a valuable marketing tool. You can use it
to showcase your restaurant's ambiance, highlight special promotions or events, and build
a brand identity. It's also an effective platform for collecting customer feedback and
reviews.
5. Efficient Order Management: For restaurants offering delivery or takeout services, a
website with integrated order management capabilities can streamline the entire process.
Orders can be processed more efficiently, reducing errors and improving customer
satisfaction.
6. Competitive Advantage: Many competing restaurants likely have their own websites.
Having a professional and user-friendly website can give you a competitive edge in the
market and attract customers who prefer the convenience of online ordering and
reservations.
7. Data Collection and Analysis: A website allows you to collect valuable data on customer
behavior, preferences, and ordering habits. This data can be used for market research and
targeted marketing campaigns to improve business performance.
8. Adaptation to Changing Customer Trends: As consumer habits evolve, restaurants need
to adapt. The COVID-19 pandemic, for example, accelerated the shift towards online
ordering and contactless dining. A restaurant website helps you stay agile and responsive
to changing trends.
