EDC Lab 01 Fall 2023

This document is a laboratory manual for an Electronic Devices and Circuits course containing instructions for two laboratory experiments using Proteus simulation software. The first experiment involves constructing a circuit with four diodes and an AC voltage source to analyze the output waveform. The second experiment constructs a circuit with a diode, DC voltage source, voltmeter, ammeter and resistor to measure voltage and current values across the diode at varying input voltages and record the results.

TASK # 1:

INTRODUCTION:
Performing task 1 of lab manual 1, in which we have to design the following circuit on
proteus:

PROCEDURE:
1. To begin, I developed a circuit simulation.
2. This circuit incorporates four diodes, an AC voltage source, and an oscilloscope for
waveform analysis.
3. Once the circuit was constructed, I adjusted the AC source's amplitude to 12V and its
frequency to 50Hz.

We are constructing a circuit as shown below, on proteus and simulate. We will vary the input
voltage Vin according the values given in the table and by using ampere meter and volt meter
record the values of Id and Vd.

PROCEDURE:
The primary objective within this circuit was the determination of voltage and current values.
2. Initially, I formulated a circuit simulation.
3. The circuit configuration encompassed a DC voltage source, a diode, a DC voltmeter, a
DC ammeter, and a 1k-ohm resistor.
4. To achieve this, the voltmeter was connected in parallel to exploit uniform voltage across
parallel elements, while the ammeter was situated in series to capitalize on consistent current
flow within the series arrangement.
