APPOINTMENTS
 Indian American Richard Verma has been confirmed for a top State Department position
by the United States Senate.
 Rajan Gupta has been appointed as the MD and CEO of Orient Electric Limited.
 PTC India Limited, the leading provider of power trading solutions in India, announced that
Dr Rajib Kumar Mishra has taken over as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of
the company.
 The UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has appointed his brother,
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the Vice President of the country.
 The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Rajasthan has appointed Dr. SheenuJhawar as the new
President for a term of two years, from 2023 to 2025.
 Vice Admiral Atul Anand takes over as director general naval operations. He was
commissioned on 01 January 1988 into the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy.
