 Electric motor actuation
- The electric motor must be installed by a specialized professional mechanic. The cabling size and
installed devices must comply with the currently enforced safety standards.

- We recommend assembling the machine in a flat and clean location, which is free of oil, grease,
foreign bodies, and protected from the sun and rain. Any water in the assembling location increases
the danger from electrical shock.

- There must be space around the machine allowing unobstructed and safe movement for the operator
and the product being operated.

Perform the following instructions for assembling the motor and the belt shields:

 Tractor actuation
The Nogueira ensiling machines can be purchased supplied with agricultural tractor power take-off
and the following versions are available:

 Coupling to the tractor and installing the driveshaft
Coupling the ensiling machine to the three-point linkage of the tractor hydraulic system (first the first
lower arms and then the upper arm).

After coupling, carefully check if the driveshaft is well-latched to the tractor and
machine axles. If the moving driveshaft disengages, it can result in a serious
accident.
CAUTION
If it is necessary to shorten the driveshaft, proceed as follows:

- Separate the two parts of the driveshaft (male/female);

- Couple the “female” side to the tractor power take-off and the “male” side to the machine;
- Place the two parts of the driveshaft side-by-side and mark the place for cutting, leaving about 25 mm
of play, on each end (see the following figures);
- Remove the driveshaft, cut the extra parts off from the male and female sides;
- Then assemble the driveshaft again, see if the ends are aligned, as shown in the following figure.

Ensiling machine installed with TRAILER OR A TRAILER BASE:

Connect the towing hitch to the tractor towing bar. In these versions, generally, it is necessary to cut the
driveshaft. If necessary, proceed as described above.

- The parts cut from the solid and tubular parts of the driveshaft must be the same length. It is
necessary to leave a minimum of 25 mm of play at both ends of the driveshaft.
- The instructions for cutting, lubricating, maintenance, and installing the driveshaft protective cover
are found and described in the pamphlet supplied by the manufacturer.
- It is the exclusive responsibility of the authorized Nogueira reseller to prepare the driveshaft and try
out for the first operation of the machine.

 Before turning on the ensiling machine
Ensiling machine models EN-9F3B, EN-12B e EN-
12F4 are supplied without oil in the transmission
gearbox.
Before turning on the machine for the first time,
remove the cover and fill the gearbox with 1 liter of
SAE 140 oil.

wheels. The figure below shows all the possible cutting settings and the pair of corresponding gear
wheels.

How to change the cutting option (models: EN-9F3B, EN-12B e EN-12F4)

1- Remove the gearbox cover B, press upwards.

2- Remove the cotter pins from the two gear wheels C.
3- Remove the two gear wheels C and place the set recommended for the desired cutting size.
Remember to replace the cotter pins.
4- Replace the cover B.

Unloader nozzle-chute
The unloader nozzle-chute adjusts the direction of the blast and it turns 360 degrees. To adjust the
nozzle-chute, see the following instructions and figures:

 Operation
Before turning on the machine, carefully check the following:
- Check to see if there are any objects or tools on the machine, motor, or inside the pick-up nozzle-
chute.
- If there are any people or animals near the machine.
- If the machine cover if properly latched.
- If the motor rotation direction is correct.
- If the belts are properly stretched.

In models EN-9F3B, EN-12B and EN-12F4, before the first operation, remember to put oil in the
transmission gearbox, as stated in this manual.

When the ENSILING MACHINE is properly coupled and completely empty, start the motor (turn on the
tractor power take-off, in models actuated by the tractor) and wait for a few moments, until the machine
reaches the proper operating rotating speed.

Keep the hands away from the moving roller, pulleys, gears, belts, and axles. Do
not try to remove any remainders of products, straw etc., from inside the pick-up or
unloader nozzle-chutes, when the machine is turned on.
Never use the pick-up nozzle-chute without first closing the protective cover.
CAUTION

PICK-UP:

The picking-up of the Ensiling machine must be constant, but based on the operating capacity of the
installed motor, considering the assembly characteristics of the machine and motor. An excess
instake of material will overload the motor and, if the maximum recommended amperage is exceeded
and this can cause serious damage.
The amperage verification can be done using an ammeter.

TURNING OFF THE ENSILING MACHINE:

Before turning off the ensiling machine, wait until all the product is blasted from the machine and the
machine is completely empty. Never turn off the machine when there is product inside.

 Maintenance
Your NOGUEIRA ENSILING MACHINE requires a minimum amount of maintenance in order to
achieve perfect operation and maximum durability. Therefore, the following are some important
maintenance measures:
- Clean the machine routinely.
- Keep the machine properly lubricated.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Keep the belts in good condition and properly stretched.
During the first hours of operation, retighten all the fastening screws and verify the tightness of the
belts.

Before performing any maintenance, adjustment, or lubrication job, disconnect

the motor from the electricity network (in tractor actuation models, remove the key
from the ignition).
Wait for all the components to be motionless, before touching any part of the
machine.
CAUTION Use the same specifications as the original when replacing screws and nuts.
When handling blades, be careful not to get hurt by the cutting edge.
Reinstall all the protective covers before turning on the machine.

Sharpening the blades

It is essential for the blades to be well-sharpened and adjusted to the counter-blades, in order to
achieve good quality and efficient cutting. The blades must be check daily and sharpened whenever
necessary.
When the machine is turned off, open the housing cover and check all the blades and when
necessary:
1- Remove all the rotor blades.
2- Then proceed by sharpening all the blades. Keep the same cutting edge angle as the original and
remove the same amount of material on each blade, as to not affect the rotor balancing.

6- Before turning on the machine, turn the rotor manually and check if any blade touches a counter-
blade.
7- Close the housing cover.

6- Before turning on the machine, turn the rotor manually and check if any blade touches a counter-
blade.

Replacing blades
When the blades are damaged or worn out, and it is not possible to adjust them to match the counter-
blade, then they must be immediately replaced. Always replace the whole set of blades, so that the
rotor is not imbalanced. Remove the fastening screws from the blades to take out the blades.

Important! Use only original NOGUEIRA blades for replacements.

 Replacing counter-blades
Worn counter-blades make the cutting of forage more difficult and exert more strain on the motor.
Whenever, you notice they are worn out, replace the counter-blade.

REPLACING THE COUNTER-BLADE

After the ensiling machine is turned off:

1- Remove springs C and D.

2- Hold strap E and lift the cover, bring the toothed roller towards the front, as shown in figure 54.
3- Remove the 2 fastening screws from the counter-blade.
4- Replace the counter-blade.

5- Put the toothed roller back to the operating position. Remember to connect the driveshaft again
which actuates the roller.
6- Replace springs C and D.

 Upper roller springs
The upper roller spring of your Ensiling machine is equipped with an articulation system with side
springs to facilitate the entrance of the material easier; this is to guarantee uniform and precision
cutting. If the machine displays problems in the entrance of material, check the pressure of the
springs. Proceed as follows in order to increase the spring pressure:

Pull the pin up to another position. Place the two pins in the upper holes.

Important! Replace flaccid or damaged springs immediately.

 Tightening the cutting adjustment belt
Keep the belts tight enough. The tightness must be enough to avoid slippage of the belt. Remember,
loose belts slip and wear out prematurely. On the hand, excessively tight belts overload the
transmission components, and this can damage them.
Parched or damaged belts must be replaced immediately.

3- Stretch the belt(s) by tightening the stretcher screw D.

 Lubrication
Routine lubrication is essential to good performance and durability of your ensiling machine. We
recommend using good quality grease, special for bearings, made from lithium soap base, classified
as NLGI 2 EP.
Lubricate the displayed parts using a grease gun every 10 hours of operating.
Before lubricating, clean the grease fittings in order to avoid any contamination of the grease and
replace any damaged grease fittings.

Conservation
Keep the machine clean and lubricated.
Periodically check the belts, blades, counter-blades, springs, and screws.
We recommend performing an annual over-all tune-up on the Ensiling Machine identifying and
replacing the worn or damaged parts.

Perform before extended stoppages:

- Carefully wash the machine with water;
- Retouch the paint in any parts whenever needed;
- Apply anti corrosive oil on metallic parts;
- Loosen the belts and release the pick-up roller springs;
- Clean the grease fitting and lubricate;
- Lubricate the bearings, unloader nozzle-chute etc.

 Accionamiento con motor eléctrico
- La instalación de motores eléctricos debe ser realizada por un profesional especializado. El
dimensionamiento de los cables y la utilización de dispositivos de arranque y parada deben estar en
conformidad con las normas de seguridad vigentes.

- Se recomienda instalar la máquina en un lugar plano, limpio, libre de aceite, grasa, astillas, protegido
del sol y de la llubia. El contacto con el agua aumenta el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.

 Acoplamiento al tractor y colocación del cardán
Acoplar la ensiladora a los tres puntos del sistema hidráulico del tractor (primero los dos brazos
inferiores y luego el brazo superior).

Después del acoplamiento, verifique atentamente si el cardán está bien

trabado en los ejes de la máquina y del tractor. El desacople del cardán en
movimiento podrá resultar en grave accidente.
CUIDADO
Si es necesario acortar el cardán, proceder de la siguiente manera:

- Desencajar las dos partes del cardán (macho/hembra).

- Acoplar el lado “hembra” en el toma de fuerza del tractor y el lado “macho” en la máquina.
- Colocar las dos partes del cardán lado a lado y marcar el corte, dejando una holgura de 25 mm,
aproximadamente, en cada punta (ver figuras abajo).
- Retirar el cardán, cortar las sobras del macho y de la hembra.
- Al montar nuevamente el cardán, observar que los terminales deben estar alineados, conforme
muestra la figura abajo.

Ensiladoras con REMOLQUE O BASE PARA VAGÓN:

Acoplar el cabezal en la barra de tracción del tractor. En esas versiones, en general, no es necesario
cortar el cardán. Si necesario, proceda como descrito arriba.

- Los pedazos cortados de las partes maciza y tubular del cardán deben tener el mismo largo.
- Se debe dejar una holgura mínima de 25 milímetros en cada extremidad del cardán.

 Operación
Antes de encender la máquina, verifique con atención:
- Si no hay objetos o herramientas sobre la máquina, motor o dentro del pico de alimentación;
- Si no hay personas o animales cerca de la máquina;
- Si el sentido de rotación del motor está correcto;
- Si las correas están debidamente estiradas.

En los modelos EN-9F3B, EN-12B e EN-12F4,antes de primer accionamiento, recuerde poner aceite
en la caja de transmisión, conforme indiciado en este manual.
Con la ENSILADORA debidamente acoplada y totalmente vacía, arranque el motor (conecte el toma
de fuerza del tractor, en los modelos accionados por tractor) y aguarde alguns instantes, hasta que la
máquina alcance la rotación de trabajo.

Mantenga las manos alejadas de los rodillos, poleas, engranajes, correas y ejes
en movimiento.
No intente retirar restos de producto, paja etc., de adentro de los picos de
alimentación o de salida con la máquina encendida.
Nunca utilice el pico de alimentación sin la tapa de protección.

ALIMENTACIÓN:

La alimentación de la ensiladora debe ser continua, aunque adecuada a la capacidad de trabajo del
motor utilizado, teniéndose en cuenta el conjunto máquina y motor. El exceso de alimentación
sobrecargará el motor y, si supera el amperaje máximo indicado, podrá dañarlo seriamente.
La verificación del amperaje puede ser hecho con la utilización de un amperímetro.

APAGADO DE LA ENSILADORA:

Antes de apagar la ensiladora, aguarde hasta que todo el producto sea lanzado y la máquina esté
completamente vacía. Nunca apague la máquina con producto dentro.

 Mantenimiento
Su Ensiladora Nogueira necesita un mínimo de mantenimiento para su perfecto funcionamiento y
máxima durabilidad. Para tanto, algunos cuidados son importantes:
- Limpiar la máquina regularmente;
- Mantener la máquina debidamente lubricada;
- Substituir piezas gastadas o dañadas.

Durante las primeras horas de trabajo, reajuste todos los tornillos de fijación y verifique el
tensionamiento de las correas.

Antes de realizar cualquier servicio de mantenimiento, regulado o lubricación,

apague la máquina. Para mayor seguridad, desconecte el motor de la red eléctrica
(en los modelos con accionamiento por tractor, retire la llave de arranque).
Aguarde hasta que todos los componentes estén sin movimiento, antes de cambiar
en cualquier parte de la máquina.
CUIDADO Al substituir tornillos y tuercas, utilice las mismas especificaciones de los originales.
Al manipular las cuchillas, cuidado para no herirse con el corte.
Recoloque todas las protecciones antes de encender la máquina.

Afilado de las cuchillas

Para mantener la calidad y la eficiencia en el corte es fundamental que las cuchillas estén bien
afiladas y reguladas con la contracuchilla. Se deben verificar diariamente las cuchillas y afilarlas
siempre que necesario.

Con la máquina apagada, abra la tapa de la carcasa y verifique todas las cuchillas, si necesario:
1- Remueva todas las cuchillas del rotor.
2- Proceda al afilado de todas las cuchillas. Procure mantener la inclinación del corte original y retirar
la misma cantidad de material de cada cuchilla, para no afectar el balanceo del rotor.

 Al afilar las cuchillas, proteja los ojos utilizando gafas de seguridad. Después de
la colocación de las cuchillas, verifique atentamente si todos los tornillos de
fijación están bien apretados. La soltura de las cuchillas en movimiento podrá
provocar un grave accidente.

1- Con la máquina apagada, abra la tapa de la carcasa.

2- Suelte los tornillos B que prenden el soporte de la cuchilla.
3- Desplace el soporte con la cuchilla, hasta obtener la holgura de 0,5 mm de la contra-cuchilla.

6- Antes de encender la máquina, gire manualmente el rotor y observe si alguna cuchilla toca en la

Se debe dejar una holgura de 0,5 mm, aproximadamente, entre cuchilla y contracuchilla.

1- Con la máquina apagada, abra la tapa de la carcasa.

2- Suelte los tornillos B que prenden la cuchilla.
3- Desplace la cuchilla, hasta obtener la holgura de, aproximadamente, 0,5 mm de la contracuchilla.
4- Reajuste bien todos los tornillos B.
5- Repita la operación en cada una de las cuchillas.
6- Antes de encender la máquina, gire manualmente el rotor y observe si alguna cuchilla toca la
contracuchilla.

Substitución de las cuchillas

Cuchillas dañadas o desgastadas, que no posibiliten el regulado con la contracuchilla, deben ser
inmediatamente substituidas. Siempre substituya el juego completo para no desbalancear el rotor.
Para retirar las cuchillas, retire los tornillos de fijación.

Importante! Utilice solamente las cuchillas originales Nogueira.

 Contracuchilla
La contracuchilla desgastada dificulta el picado de la forrajera, exigiendo más de la máquina y del
motor. Al observar desgaste, substituya la contracuchilla.

SUBSTITUCIÓN DE LA CONTRACUCHILLA
Con la ensiladora apagada:

1- Retire los espirales C y D;

2- Sujete en el alza y levante la tapa, trayendo el rodillo dentado hacia adelante, conforme muestra la
figura 54;
3- Retire los 2 tornillos que fijan la contracuchilla;
4- Substituya la contracuchilla;
5- Retorne el rodillo dentado para la posición de trabajo. Recuerde encajar nuevamente el cardán que
acciona el rodillo.
6- Recoloque los espirales C y D.

 Espirales del rodillo superior
Con vistas a garantizar la uniformidad en la alimentación y precisión en el corte, el rodillo superior de
su ensilaldora posee sistema de articulación con espirales laterales que alivian la entrada del
producto. Si la máquina presenta dificuldad en la alimentación, verifique la presión de los espirales.
Para aumentar la presión de los espirales, proceda como descrito a continuación:

 Tensionamiento de la correa de cambio de corte
Mantenga las correas adecuadamente estiradas. La tensión debe ser solo lo suficiente para evitar
que la correa patine (se deslice). Recuerde que correas flojas resbalan y se desgastan
prematuramente. Por otro lado, correas excesivamente tensionadas sobrecargan los componentes
de la transmisión, pudiendo dañarlos.
Correas resecadas o dañadas deben ser inmediatamente substituidas.

 Lubricación
La lubricación regular es indispensable para el buen desempeño y durabilidad de su ensiladora.
Se recomienda la utilización de grasa de buena calidad, especial para rodamientos, a base de jabón
de litio, clasificación NLGI 2 EP.
Lubricar con el auxilio de una engrasadora, los puntos indicados, cada 10 horas de trabajo.
Antes de lubricar, limpie bien las engrasadoras para evitar la contaminación de la grasa y substituya
engrasadoras dañadas.

Antes de paradas prolongadas:

- Lave cuidadosamente la máquina con agua;
- Retoque la pintura en las partes donde hubiere necesidad;
- Realice una aplicación de aceite anticorrosivo en las partes metálicas;
- Afloje las correas y suelte los espirales de los rodillos alimentadores;
- Limpie las engrasadoras y lubrique;
- Lubrique los engranajes, pico de salida etc.

La ensiladora Nogueira es identificada por un

número de serie, grabado en una plaqueta (1),
localizada en la carcasa de la máquina.

Al enviar comunicaciones o requerir auxilio de la asistencia técnica

Nogueira, siempre informe el número de serie y el modelo de la máquina,
presentes en la plaqueta de identificación.

Al substituir piezas, utilice siempre artículos orinales Nogueira. Solamente

las piezas originales son fabricadas de acuerdo con los diseños, materiales
y especificaciones de proyecto, pasando por un estricto estándar de
calidad.

 CERTIFICADO DE GARANTÍA

Nogueira Máquinas Agrícolas garantiza la máquina aquí caracterizada contra defectos de

fabricación debidamente comprobados por la fábrica, dentro de las siguientes condiciones:
1- La garantía es válida durante los primeros 12 (doce) meses, contados a partir de la
fecha de emisión de la factura de venta al primer propietario / consumidor, siendo:
03 (tres) primeros meses - garantía legal;
09 (nueve) últimos meses - garantía adicional concedida por Nogueira Máquinas
Agrícolas.
2- Consiste en la presente garantía, en el compromiso de Nogueira en reparar o sumi-
nistrar gratuitamente, en su fábrica, las piezas que a su exclusivo juicio presentan
defectos de fabricación. La garantía cubre exclusivamente defectos de material y / o
fabricación, mientras que la mano de obra, flete y otros gastos no están cubiertos por
este certificado.
3- No son garantizadas por Nogueira piezas defectuosas por uso indebido, desgaste de-
rivado de uso normal, uso en desacuerdo con el manual de instrucciones o causadas
por agentes de la naturaleza o accidentes;
4. La presente garantía se invalidará íntegramente en los siguientes casos:
4.1- Aplicación inadecuada de la máquina, en desacuerdo con el Manual de
Instrucciones;
4.2- Uso de lubricantes no recomendados en el Manual de instrucciones;
4.3- Modificaciones, adaptaciones y / o reparaciones realizadas por personas no auto-
rizadas por el fabricante;
4.4- Empleo de piezas o componentes no originales;
4.5- Uso de tractor con potencia superior a la máxima recomendada en el Manual de
Instrucciones;
4.6- Presentación de Notas Fiscales de compra rasuradas o adulteradas.
5- Las reclamaciones sobre eventuales defectos durante el período de la garantía deberán
ser presentadas a los revendedores locales, que las encaminar a la fábrica junto con
la pieza defectuosa, que será sustituida, si se reconoce el defecto. En caso de ocurrir
el desplazamiento de cualquier Técnico o Mecánico para la atención en la propiedad,
éste será de responsabilidad del Propietario de la máquina;
6- Sólo se cumplen las cláusulas del presente Certificado de Garantía, si el TÉRMINO DE
RECIBO es debidamente rellenado y enviado a Nogueira en el momento de la entrega
de la máquina (ver ‘INSTRUCCIONES DE ENVÍO PARA LA FÁBRICA’ en el TÉRMINO DE
RECIBO);
7- El fabricante se reserva el derecho de efectuar modificaciones en sus productos sin
que ello asegure en ninguna obligación de aplicarlas a los productos anteriormente
fabricados.

este fin.

1. Llene el TÉRMINO DE RECIBO con la información solicitada y firme;
2. Dispare el TÉRMINO DE RECIBO completado y la factura de venta;
3. Acceder al sitio www.nogueira.com.br y haga clic en la pestaña “TÉRMINO DE
RECIBO” o acceda nogueira.industriasnb.com/entrega;
4. Rellene la información solicitada en el sitio;
5. Añada las fotos del TÉRMINO DE RECIBO y de la factura y haga clic en ‘ENVIAR’.
