World Aviation is committed to the health and safety of its employees and
customers. We are also committed to meet the standards and requirements of
safety management as defined in the ICAO Safety Management Manual, Doc 9859.

To meet these goals World has established the following safety policies:

 Senior management in this organization is totally committed to high


standards of safety in all aspects of this organization’s operations.
 There shall be a formal, explicit and documented statement of safety
policy, goals and objectives at all levels within the organization.
 We will have a comprehensive documented safety management system and an
organizational structure designed to support this system.
 The safety management system will contain methods to identify and
control hazards, and to assure the effectiveness of the safety
management system in every department and unit of the organization.

Safety Responsibility

 Every individual within the organization is responsible for their own


actions and for compliance with applicable safety standards at all
times.
 Managers shall take all necessary action to ensure that within their
areas of responsibility:
 Hazards are identified, evaluated and controlled in a timely manner.
 All personnel within their organization are adequately trained;
motivated and competent for the job they are assigned. Where required
this shall include proper licensing.
 Every individual is aware of the appropriate safety standards and
complies with them.
 Safety concerns and issues are communicated up and down through the
organization as appropriate to achieve the safety objectives of the
organization.

ICAO Doc 9859 - Safety Management Manual (SMM)

Safety is the first priority in all our activities. We are committed to implementing, developing
and improving strategies, management systems and processes to ensure that all our activities
uphold the highest level of safety performance and meet national and international standards.

Our commitment to safety is to:

 Develop and embed a safety culture in all our activities that recognizes the importance
and value of effective safety management and acknowledges at all times that safety is
paramount;
 Clearly define for all staff their accountabilities and responsibilities for the development
and delivery of safety strategy and performance;
 Minimize the risks associated with operations to a point that is as low as reasonably
practicable/achievable;
 Ensure that externally supplied systems and services that impact upon the safety of our
operations meet appropriate safety standards;
 Actively develop and improve our safety processes to conform to world-class standards;
 Comply with and, wherever possible, exceed legislative and regulatory requirements and
standards;
 Ensure that all staff are provided with adequate and appropriate safety information and
training, are competent in safety matters and are only allocated tasks commensurate with
their skills;
 Ensure that sufficient skilled and trained resources are available to implement safety
strategy and policy;
 Establish and measure our safety performance against realistic objectives and/or targets;
 Achieve the highest levels of safety standards and performance in all our activities;
 Continually improve our safety performance;
 Conduct safety and management reviews and ensure that relevant action is taken; and
 Ensure that the application of effective safety management systems is integral to all our
activities, with the objective of achieving the highest levels of safety standards and
performance.
