Justification/ Supplementary Information that may give details and/or add value to the project
a. Increase student learning motivation
It has been reflected by previous graduates of the programme that they would appreciate an opportunity
to visit the home university during the study in order to understand better the academic standard of the
home programme. The teaching team also find it beneficial to the students if they have the opportunity to
understand better the architectural scene in UK to have better communication of ideas with the university
tutors.
b. Recommendation from Professional Institution
It was advised by the Hong Kong Institution of Architects during the initial validation of the programme in
2017 that there should be a ‘reciprocal exchange’ between the two institutions in order to benefit the
students. This study tour aims to establish the first student academic visit to the partner University,
University of Lincoln since the commencement of the top up BA (Hons) Architecture programme in 2014
