LUXE SERIES
I started Hiraeth Perfumes on a plastic table in a corner of my bedroom.

It was an exciting experiment—I played around with a few materials and

some basic laboratory equipment. But of course, it was so much more: a
lot of reading, learning, passion and hope.

I’ve loved exquisite scents since my engineering college days. I truly

believe that a good scent can transform any experience into a pleasant
one. And I was disheartened to see just how exorbitant some of the
perfumes I loved were.

I wasn’t going to sit around. It’s not in my nature. I tried my hand at

perfumery and voila! I ended up making a few scents that I really loved.
The artist in me couldn't resist the urge to proudly show off my work, and I
started sharing my perfumes with a few friends. To my surprise and glee,
even they liked them!

That's when I planned to go all out and launch my brand officially in

August 2020. That’s how Hiraeth Perfumes was born.

Today I have 40 scents in my standard series–but I felt I can do better. I

can do more.

I can add a touch of luxury to my scents.

That's where the thought of introducing the Hiraeth Luxe line of scents
originated.

I have been working on this project since June 2021. The idea behind
starting the Luxe series was to target specific notes and formulate the
entire blend around each individual note. And while note-centric scents
exist in today’s perfume market, I believe the Hiraeth Luxe line of scents
brings to this world something unique and bold. I assure you that every
perfume undergoes a unique, deeply personal treatment that tailors it to
a specific environment and mindset.

This is reflected in the descriptions of the perfumes as well—they do not

contain a clichéd breakdown of the notes. Instead, I’ve written the
descriptions to try and capture the precise experience you can expect
right from the first spray till the fragrance dries off.

All perfumes in the Hiraeth Luxe series are extremely long-lasting. Unique
features of specific fragrances—projection, sillage, and so on—will be
mentioned in the description of that perfume.
VETIVER LUXE

Rainy Soil, Kashmiri Lavender, Sicilian Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange Blossom,

Ruh Khus, Vetiver Java, Oakmoss, Galbanum Resin, Woods

You have experienced other vetiver perfumes offered in the market.

Now, experience a moment that otherwise lasts only for a few seconds
with Vetiver Luxe.

When the vetiver plant is uprooted, a soily, wet aroma emanates for a
few seconds before the aroma from the roots takes over.

The top note of Vetiver Luxe focuses on those first few seconds before
the fragrance turns into a very dominant vetiver scent. This perfume
uses the highest-grade traditionally distilled Ruh Khus to cover a lot of
missing facets that regular vetiver perfumes cannot fulfill. The scent
stays linear throughout its journey and ends on a slightly woody note.

This perfume is for those looking to wear something in its rawest form.
VANILLA LUXE

Star Anise, Nutmeg, Ylang Ylang, Davana, Opoponax Resin, Spikenard,

Labdanum Absolute, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Ambrette Seed and
Madagascar Vanilla

At the risk of coming across as too direct, the inspiration behind the creation
of this fragrance was capturing distilled sex in a bottle.

Vanilla to me is quite a sensual note and it has always been my desire to

create something that embodies my perception of lovemaking and romance.
It is absolutely subjective but, as an artist, I couldn’t stop myself from
presenting it to the world. The entire perfume is a lovemaking journey
dedicated to vanilla, with different facets emerging at different intervals.

The perfume starts off just the way a sensual connection begins: sharp, spicy,
sweet and intense.

It is certainly polarizing, thanks to Star Anise lingering for some time before the
perfume is dominated by the beautiful concoction of sweet Madagascar
Vanilla, animalic Spikenard, and sensual narcotic Ylang Ylang. And even
though Vanilla dominates the entire act, it makes space for the other facets
to come, play and leave. Vanilla is holding the ground... staying on forever.

This perfume is for those who enjoy a unique gourmet of

fragrances—polarizing, uplifting, sensual, bold, wild, animalic and dark.
ROSE LUXE

Sicilian Lemon, Peach, Indian Geranium, Blackcurrant, Turkish Rose, Ruh

Gulab, Honey, Mysore Sandalwood, Copaiba Balsam Absolute,
Nagarmotha

For most of us, rose dominant fragrances are spicy, warm, dark and deep.
However, I did not wish to present an offering that has been done right by
others. I have carved my own path with a bold approach: maximizing the
powderiness of rose.

This fragrance is to your senses what luxury talc powder is to your face. Its
powdery base will be present throughout its rosy journey—starting off with a
mild lemony watery citrus but soon turning into a soft comforting pillowy rose.

Honey provides warmth and heaviness. The heaviness in the blend was
needed to balance out the soft opening while ensuring that the main
character of the perfume is not lost.

Drydown would be a creamy concoction of Mysore Sandalwood and

Copaiba.
The woody ending stays forever on your skin.

This perfume is for those who wish to go beyond the regular deep dark spicy
rose and embrace a new and excitingly different take on rose.
This perfume is a projection and longevity monster.
OUD LUXE

Basil, Thyme, Peppermint, Blackcurrant Leaf, Rose Absolute, Birch Tar, Oud
Kinam Accord, Orris Root, Nagarmotha, Guaiac Wood

Most Oud-centric perfumes in the market focus on a typical animalic side of

the material that, while obviously not wrong, is certainly a cliché.

With Oud Luxe, I’ve attempted to present Oud in a new way—unique, bold and
wearable for a premium experience.

The first spray itself welcomes you with spicy, smoky goodness.

And if the smokiness from Birch Tar was not already enough, Oud Kinam
Accord shines through with its own smokiness throughout this perfume’s
journey.

This perfume is far from animalic. It is sweet to an extent but not vanillic. It is
woody to an extent but not dry. It is green to an extent but not grassy. It is dark
to an extent but not offensive.

This perfume is created to be thoroughly enjoyed by those who love

smokiness combined with a spicy, woody and opulent background.
JASMINE LUXE

Green Tea, Grapefruit, Petitgrain, Cardamom, Jasmine Sambac, Oakmoss

Absolute, Gurjun Balsam, Tolu Balsam, Olibanum, Vetiver

Someone who really loves Jasmine once told me that there are not many
perfumes in the market with Jasmine as the dominant note... and the existing
ones don’t always capture the scent of this exquisite flower in a mild,
pleasant way.
This inspired me to take up the challenge and come up with my version of a
Jasmine perfume. One that is not off-putting..

So, I decided to work on something that I would enjoy.

And Jasmine Luxe was born.

This fragrance opens up with a very natural ode to Green Tea accord,
Petitgrain. It's slightly powdery, but not dominantly so.
Soon, the floral goodness of this perfume shines through thanks to a light,
heady Jasmine Sambac. The narcotic, sultry aroma of Jasmine defines the
body of this scent and stays till the fragrance dies off.
However, to avoid the screeching nature of Jasmine from being maximized,
the resinous earthy balsamic base comes into play to ensure Jasmine
doesn't lose control. The perfume has an oakmossy green undertone
throughout its journey, on top of which the skit of Jasmine and Balsam plays
out.

This perfume is for those who enjoy the softer side of white florals. Truly a
blissful scent for Green Floral lovers.
