Standard Operating Procedure to replace VHMS controller

1. Prepare check sheet
2. Turn on engine key
3. Conduct down load by VHMS technical analysis tool box software ver 3.04.009
5. Close the VHMS technical analysis tool box software ver 3.04.009
5. Start the VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0 and save the setting of the old controller
6. Close the VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0 and turn off the engine key

7. Remove Old VHMS Controller


8. Install new VHMS Controller

9. Turn on engine key


10. Start the VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0 and UPLOAD the setting of the old controller to the NEW Controller

11. Conduct down load by VHMS technical analysis tool box software ver 3.04.009
12. Check the down load content is correct to machine data (S/N, last SMR, engine S/N)
13. Turn off engine key and close all VHMS software
14. Fill in the check sheet and send it to UT HO Service TO

2. Turn key on
3. Conduct down load by VHMS technical analysis tool box software ver 3.04.009

4. Check the down load content whether it is correct to machine data (S/N, last SMR, engine S/N)

5. Start the VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0 and save the setting of the old controller

Double click Click Next


VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0

Choose 2nd option Save setting of old Controller Click Yes


"when VHMS needs to be replaced" Click Next
Click Next

Click save Click OK and Exit

6. Close VHMS software or Turn on the engine key. Failure to do this may cause software not functionning properly

7. Remove Old VHMS Controller


8. Install New VHMS Controller

9. Turn off the engine key


10.Start the VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0 and UPLOAD the setting of the OLD Controller to the NEW Controller

Click Next
VHMS Setting Tool ver 3.5.1.0

Choose 2nd option Click Next Click Next


"When VHMS needs to be replaced"
Click Next

Fill date and time


For Kalimantan
Time zone = GMT + 8
Date = actual date Content should be "OK"
Time = actual time in Kalimantan

Click OK and exit

11. Conduct down load by VHMS technical analysis tool box software ver 3.04.009

12. Check the down load content whether it is correct to machine data (S/N, last SMR, engine S/N)
by opening a down load file (example trend.csv or tm_trend.csv or fault0.csv)
Example from trend.csv file
Should be correct:
Machine model
Machine Serial Number
Machine SMR
Engine Serial Number

SMR should be present at this location

13. If OK then close all VHMS software and turn off the engine key
14. Complete the check sheet and send it to UT HO Service TO

D. Remarks & Trouble shooting


1. In some case the following display may appears. Please click "OK" or click "enter" key and continue

2. If those displays result are encountered (in VHMS Setting tools ver 3.5.1.0) then
