Emcee's Text For Poetry Recitation 2019

The emcee welcomes everyone to the poetry recitation competition and introduces the judges and timekeeper. There are 10 participating schools and the top two winners will advance to the district level competition. Before starting, the emcee will read the competition rules. The emcee then invites the contestants one by one to recite their poems, thanking each for their performance. Once all contestants have presented, the judges will have time to make their final decision.

1 Announcement The competition is going to start any minute from now.


All the contestants and guests are invited to take your
seats. Thank you.

2 Opening speech Assalammualaikum wbt and a very good morning to all


of you. On behalf of the organizing committee, we would
like to welcome all of you to our school who is
responsible for this year English carnival.

Please bear in mind, we hope all the contestants can


compete in a healthy manner. Please put your best foot
forward in doing your poetry recitation, with clear voice
and full of confidence.

Without wasting anymore time, I would like to ask for


permission to start the competition.

For your information, there are 10 schools altogether


who participate in this year poetry competition.

Now, I would like to welcome and introduce our
