COMPUTER LABORATORY RULES AND
REGULATIONS THAT GUIDE ALL LAB USERS

1. Seek permission before you enter the


laboratory from the authorized laboratory
attendant or teacher.
2. For research and practice, follow lab
timetable according to class(s). Please In
case of any problem immediately call a lab
attendant or teacher for help.
3. Be a responsible person! respect
teachers, lab attendants, and other lab users.
4. Keep all cardigans / non-school sweaters
or jackets, bottles, bags, shoes away from
the laboratory.
5. Before using a computer make sure your
hands are clean to prevent associated health
problems.
6. Cover your computer after use with a
clean dry dust cover, to prevent computer
components away from dust.
7. Love your computer! And use it for
academic purpose, avoid too much noise and
unnecessary conversation while using the
lab.
8. Never be tempted to steal any item or
remove any computer component without
the lab attendant’s consent.
9. Keep all Liquids(drinks) and food items
away from the computer lab.
10. Be careful when using electric
components especially when not insulated
and avoid unnecessary movements to avoid
electrical shocks and short circuits.
11. Never use your computer during a storm
because computers are connected to
electricity and this means lightning could be
conducted to the computer and damage
them.
12. All flash disks, compact disks, and other
personal external storage devices are not
allowed inside the lab.
13. Did you know that Internet is the source
of computer virus?. Be careful ! when using
internet through downloading, uploading
items as well as receiving email attachments
from unknown sources or internet sites you
dont trust.
14. Always sit upright to avoid muscle pains
and backaches caused by poor sitting
posture.
15. Do not change any computer system
settings without permission and never fight
for a computer follow one person one
computer slogan.
16. Proper shutdown of computer! Steps to
shutdown Should be followed to avoid disk
and system failure.

17. Break and replace. Physically, be careful


move gently, avoid knocking and dropping
any hardware to the ground to avoid
accidental breakages and damages or
malfunctioning of delicate components.

regulations for the purpose of smooth
teaching and learning process.
