    TRAFFIC NOTIFICATIONS

    Whereas it is necessary for preventing danger, obstruction or inconvenience to the public in


    connection with observance of Sahid Diwas by West Bengal Pradesh Trinamool Yuba Congress
    Committee in front of Head Office of CESC Ltd. i.e. Victoria House, Kolkata on 21.07.2023,
    I, Vineet Kumar Goyal, Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, in exercise of powers vested in me under
    Section 115, 117, 122 & 126 M V Act, 1988 and Section 62, 62(1b) of Calcutta Police Act./39,
    39(1b) of Calcutta Suburban Police Act read with Rule No. 85, 86, 87, 88 & 93 of Rules for the
    Regulations of Traffic in Kolkata and Suburbs and under sub- section(1) of Section 4 of the West
    Bengal Traffic Regulations Act, 1965 (W B Act XV of 1965) read with Govt. of West Bengal Home
    (Transport) Department Order No. 7605-WT, dated the 20th July, 1965 and Govt. of West Bengal
    Transport Department Notification No. 3363-WT/ 3M-34/99, dated the 29th April, 1999, do hereby
    order that -

    1) Movement of Vehicular Traffic will be regulated along the roads / stretches of roads as per
    the direction prescribed below from 04.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs on 21.07.2023.

    (i) Amherst Street North -> South
    (ii) Bidhan Sarani (from K C Sen Street to Vivekananda Road) South -> North
    (iii) College Street South -> North
    (iv) Brabourne Road North -> South
    (v) Strand Road (from Hare Street to Raja Woodmunt Street) South -> North
    (vi) B B Ganguly Street East -> West
    (vii) Bentinck Street South -> North
    (viii) New CIT Road West -> East
    (ix) Rabindra Sarani (from BK Paul Avenue to Lalbazar Street) South -> North

    2) Movement of all types of Goods Vehicles (except LPG Vehicles, Vegetable, Fruits & Milk
    carrying vehicles) will be restricted within the city (Kolkata Police jurisdiction) from 03.00 hrs to
    20.00 hrs on 21.07.2023 in view of above programme.

    3) Vehicles of all descriptions will not be allowed to park at the following thoroughfares/roads
    on the day (21.07.2023).

    In and around Victoria Memorial Hall, i.e. portion of AJC Bose Road between Hastings
    crossing and Cathedral Road, Hospital Road, Queensway, Cathedral Road, Casuarina
    Avenue, Lovers Lane.

    4) Movement of Vehicles of all descriptions and Carts of all descriptions including Tram Cars
    will be temporarily suspended or diverted or not allowed to be parked on the roads and approaches
    along the line of route of the processions from 04.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs or as and when considered
    necessary on the day (21.07.2023).

    5) Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads and feeder roads by the
    Traffic Police on duty as and when considered necessary, according to the above programme.

    6) THESE NOTIFICATIONS WILL REMAIN IN FORCE IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER


    NORMAL RESTRICTION ON THE DAY (21.07.2023), WHICH ARE NOT REPUGNANT TO THE
    ABOVE.
