New Year Resolution Essay

Crafting an essay on the topic of New Year resolutions may seem deceptively simple at first glance,
given the widespread tradition of setting personal goals as the calendar turns. However, delving into
the intricacies of this theme poses a unique set of challenges. The difficulty lies in striking a balance
between personal introspection and broader societal perspectives, as resolutions often embody both
individual aspirations and collective desires for self-improvement.

To start, one must navigate the fine line between clichés and originality. New Year resolutions, being
a ubiquitous topic, run the risk of falling into predictable patterns of thought. Generating fresh
insights demands a nuanced approach, requiring the writer to explore beyond the typical promises of
healthier living or enhanced productivity. The task involves extracting meaningful narratives from
personal experiences while avoiding the pitfalls of trite anecdotes.

Moreover, the psychological dimension adds another layer of complexity. Writing about resolutions
requires a delicate exploration of human motivation, the pitfalls of procrastination, and the triumphs
and tribulations that accompany the pursuit of change. This necessitates not only a deep
understanding of one's own aspirations but also an empathetic connection with the reader, as
resolutions often resonate universally.

Crafting a coherent structure poses yet another challenge. Balancing the personal narrative with
broader societal implications requires meticulous planning to avoid a disjointed essay. The writer
must seamlessly weave together introspective reflections, societal expectations, and the broader
cultural significance of resolutions, creating a cohesive narrative that engages the reader from start to
finish.

In conclusion, writing an essay on New Year resolutions is a task that demands more than just an
enumeration of personal goals. It calls for a synthesis of personal reflections and broader societal
context, an avoidance of clichés, and a mastery of narrative structure. Navigating these challenges
requires skill, introspection, and a keen awareness of the complexities inherent in the pursuit of self-
improvement.

The Key Component Of Computer Systems
Memory has been the key component of computer systems right from the beginning.
The convergence of consumer, communication, and data processing applications
combined with the rapid growth of cloud computing services have led to an explosive
growth in memory requirement (Baldi et al., 2014; Abaker et al., 2015). At present,
DRAM and NAND flash memories together make up 89% of the memory market
(Baldi et al., 2014). The success of DRAM and flash has been essentially attributed to
their small cell size and scalability. To meet the ever growing demand for modern multi
core systems to process data at higher rates, there exist serious challenges that shall
limit the dominance of DRAM and flash memories. The unavailability of cost effective
scalable lithography for sub 20nm feature size is one of the factors affecting further
evolution of such memories (ITRS, 2013). These challenges have spurred great interest
in alternative technologies to shape the landscape of future memory systems. Among
the competing contenders, phase change memory (PCM) has emerged as one of the
most promising memory technologies for the next generation memory systems dues to
its salient features of high density, superior scalability, very low leakage power, low
latency, good endurance, long retention (over 10 years), large capacity, byte
addressability, shock resistivity and better reliability compared to other non volatile
memories (Raoux et al., 2008; Lee et al., 2010; Wong et al., 2010; Zilberberg et
The Cosmological Argument Analysis
The early idea of the cosmological argument was developed by two historic
philosophers named Plato and Aristotle. The idea of the cosmological argument was to
provide the proof of the existence of God. A philosopher named Saint Thomas Aquinas
then took this idea and developed it into what he calls his The Five Ways . The five
ways that Aquinas provided to prove that Godexisted is by the unmoved mover, the first
cause, the argument from contingency, and the argument from degree.
The first of the five ways that Aquinas proves that god exists is the idea of the unmoved
mover or prime mover . Aquinas believes that all things that are natural are in motion and
are finite. Since everything natural is in motion and finite then a first mover must exist.
If the first mover or the prime mover does not exist then there would be no other mover
and nothing natural would be in motion. The natural things around us are not able to
move by their own so the existence of the prime mover is created. Aquinas believes God
is the first mover of the universe, unmoved by no one else, which makes God the
unmoved mover. God set the universe in motion because nothing moves itself; ... Show

Aquinas s second reasoning is very similar to his idea of the unmoved mover and they
take place simultaneously. Aquinas believes that everything has a cause. He does not
believe in the idea of an infinite cause because that cause can be traced back to the first
cause which makes it finite. Since everything is finite then there must be a first efficient
cause for itself. Without a first cause there would be no later causes which, therefore
means, nothing at all would exist. It is impossible for the first cause to have a cause.
Aquinas believes that since the universe exists, then there needs to be a first cause which
began all causes, which is why God is the uncaused causer of the
Diction In Seahorses
Poetry is a thing of perspective. By reading and writing poetry, we can look from a
different angle to explore and unlock deeper meaning in even the most everyday objects
and animals. Among many others, this theme of finding intricate beauty in everyday
things is prevalent throughout many of American novelist, essayist and poet Brad
Leithauser s multitude of works. One of the most detailed and elegant examples of this
lies in one of Leithauser s lesser known compositions. In this poem, which is titled

fish, but turns out to be a haven for exotic beauty and imagination.... Show more content

Seahorses is a non rhyming poem with seven ten line stanzas, which all prominently
exhibit the poem s four main literary devices: imagery, diction, symbolism and rhythm.
Leithauser s eloquent diction and well placed line and stanza breaks help to construct a
relaxing, peaceful rhythm that creates the elegant feeling of a seahorse slowly
swimming through the azure waters of the ocean. To add a layer of vivid images to this
already enthralling literary canvas, Leithauser uses descriptive vocabulary, such as
sparsity, menagerie and nonsynchronous, to describe the situation and help the poem
appeal to each of the reader s five senses. The most subtle, yet possibly most impactful
literary device displayed in the poem is symbolism. Leithauser utilizes symbolism
throughout the poem to give the poem greater depth and extract deeper meaning from a
topic usually thought of as simple and childish. Appearing predominantly in the final two
stanzas, but present throughout the poem, Brad Leithauser uses the idea of the seahorse
to represent imagination, and the release that it can present from our every day troubles.
This message is embodied by the poem s final sentence which states, If there s to be any
egress for you and me from the straitening domain of the plausible, what

In this report, it will analyses the building structure and envelope of an advanced
engineering building at UQ. The report will put the emphasis on some aspects which
include the construction documentation, building configuration building element design
and building loading and load transfer to the foundation. From another perspective, the
report will also illustrate the project s sites structure which includes site conditions,
material used, interfaces with pre existing structure/infrastructure. Basically, by using
various of site or the whole building drawings, some significant building components can
be recognized. These building components will be discussed and analyzed specifically,
which include their particular location in the drawing and how they function in the
building structure. Introduction of this building The building is located in Brisbane
QLD; the area is about 18000.0 m2. The project was finished in 2013. The building has
achieved certified 5 star green ratings representing Australian Excellence in
environmental initiatives. Also, to achieve the goal of energy efficiency, some building
service and feature have been improved. For example, the thermal labyrinth to store cool
overnight, VSD fans and pumps, high performance double glazing and openable louvres
and windows with cross flow via the atrium. Construction documentation The
construction documentation is consisting of structural and architectural cover sheets.

Assassin s Creed IV: Black Flags is a nine out ten game. The story is great and the
character are so well done and cast. It s not that difficult then the other Assassin s
Creed games but it s not an easy game to beat. Some things that I would change a little
bit from the game is to make the legendary ships a little bit easier to beat. Assassin s
