Spring – Hearts
Summer – Clubs
Fall – Diamonds
Winter – Spades
These are also associated with the four elements (Water, Air, Earth
and Fire) but so many people argue about how they correlate that I
am not going to even get into that here. But the meanings of these
four suits are very informative and will tell you some important
things about yourself.

Hearts – Hearts govern the first period of our lives and the first
season of the year – the season of childhood. And the things of
childhood are the things associated with Hearts. Family, love, home,
relationships, emotions, and children all fall under the domain of
Hearts. People who are born as Heart Birth Card are child-like in
nature. They never really get old, not on the inside. And they usually
love children. They are most concerned and affected by their
personal relationships, especially relationships with people in their
families. Hearts is also the suit of sex and Hearts people seem to
make that a greater priority than the other suits. In my book, Cards
of Your Destiny, you will find your personal yearly spreads of cards
that tell you when things will happen and with whom. Whenever a
Heart appears there it is telling you about something happening
with your relationships. All the marriage cards are Hearts as well as
the cards for love affairs, divorce, love triangles and others. The
Heart person is searching for the perfect love.

Clubs – Clubs govern the period of life after childhood when we are
sent off to school every day. Clubs govern education,
communications, both written and verbal, our thinking, and all
information centric activities and jobs. Legal matters are also ruled
by Clubs. People who are Clubs are ‘eternal college students.’ They
love to read and to learn new things. They thrive on conversation
and communications in all forms. To a Club person, ‘the thought is
as good as the thing itself.’ They are the detail people of the deck
too. They will notice and find things that other suits miss. When a
Club card appears in your yearly spread in my book, Cards of Your
Destiny, it will tell you about the status of your communications, a
legal matter, plans you have made, educational pursuits and your
general mental state of being. The Club person is searching for the
perfect truth.

Diamonds – Diamonds represent the harvest season, both in the

year and in our life. It is the suit of value and accumulation of value.
Whereas Clubs accumulate knowledge, Diamonds prefer money and
things. To a Diamond, all things, including people and relationships,
have a value. The Diamond person is the one who assigns this value
and in truth, through the accumulation of things and money, the
Diamond person is seeking his or her own value in the world. All the
money cards in the Cards of Your Destiny are Diamonds, the good
ones and the bad ones. Diamonds are the adults of the deck. Even
children who are Diamonds will not like being treated as a baby.
And they will generally choose to hang out with kids a little older
than themselves. Some of the greatest money people in the world
are Diamond cards. The Diamond person is seeking self-worth.

Spades – Spades are the suit of wisdom and wisdom can only be
obtained through experience. Though a Club may have lots of
knowledge, their knowledge is, by definition, inferior to wisdom. And
all Spades people know this. These are the workers of the deck. All
the workaholic cards are Spades and any Spade person can be
accused of it at one time or the other. Spades are also connected to
health and health issues, a common symptom in the last years of
our life which Spades govern. Not all Spades have health issues.
But quite a few of them do. A Spade person is interested in doing, as
opposed to feeling, thinking or wanting of the other suits. Spade
children like to hang with the grandparents and much older people
since they are essentially old souls, even from birth. A Spade person
is seeking self perfection through doing, and their work.

A good example of how the suits differ would be as follows. Put one
person of each suit in a room and show them a large beautiful
painting. The following would be typical reactions:

The Heart person – I get a wonderful feeling from that painting!

The Club person – I think I understand what the painter was trying
to say when they painted that.
The Diamond person – How much is it?
The Spade person – I am amazed at the quality of detail that went
into creating that painting!

If your Birth Card is a(n):

Ace – You are a leader, an initiator and a person with strong

passions for those things represented by your suit. Your ambition
will cause you to accomplish many things. You can be a loner and
are often impatient.

Two – relationships and cooperation are essential in your soul

pattern. You need partners and relationships to help you feel
complete and balanced. You possess physical beauty. You are
considerate of others though you may be a whiner and complainer.

Three – you are extremely creative and love self-expression. You

dislike routine and need a certain amount of variety. You like short
trips. You express yourself best through the suit of your card and
can be indecisive at times. You get bored easily and people may
accuse you of having ADD. You are a worrier.

Four – you are solid and grounded. You have a certain amount of
satisfaction in your life, especially related to your suit. You are
strong and sometimes fixed and stubborn. If you work hard you will
always have success.

Five – you are a restless person and like changes, especially

changes in whatever is represented by your suit. You enjoy travel
and may have trouble sinking roots or making commitments. You
want to experience everything that life has to offer, especially in
the realms represented by your suit.

Six – you like things to basically remain as they are. You are not
easily swayed or moved. You are either very responsible or are
learning about responsibility related to your suit. You know the law.
What you give is what you get. You are a peacemaker but you also
make a strong competitor.

Seven – you are basically a spiritual person, or will be a spiritual

person. You get more from giving to others than receiving and could
do great things in that regard. You can be very lucky, though
attachments to the things represented by your suit may prove
challenging at times. You are often inspired.

Eight – you are a person of power, especially in the realm of your

suit. You know you have this power and have a great responsibility
to use it wisely. Be careful not to bully others around with it. You
get your way most of the time and attract powerful partners and
friends.
Nine – you are a universal person, one who can do lots of good for
humanity, or at least large groups of people. You can have divine
spiritual experiences. You are a giver. You are in this life to
complete many things and some of these completions may at times
seem like losses. You can be co-dependent.

Ten – you are a person of personal accomplishment and will be

applauded by many for your work. You tend to overdo things in your
life, especially related to your suit. You are ambitious like the Ace
but you have more experience to turn your impatience into success.

Jack – you are youthful and creative and a member of the royal
family. You are very smart and cunning and you like to play.
Sometimes you can be immature and tricky.

Queen – you are a master over the things represented by your suit
and you use them for service. You are a mother and are here to
nurture and help your children (in many forms). You are like a King
in power but more sensitive and service-oriented.

King – you are the master over your suit and demand recognition
from others. You live by your own rules and combine the power of
the eight with your wisdom for success in the areas ruled by your
suit. You are a leader and can take on much responsibility.
The Special Family of Seven
This family includes three cards that we call Fixed, which are the
Eight of Clubs, Jack of Hearts and King of Spades. And another
family of two sets of two, which are the Ace of Clubs and Two of
Hearts, and the Seven of Diamonds and Nine of Hearts. Among
these seven, the last two pairs are strongly connected to each
other. Most of the cards in this family of seven are connected in
other ways but the exact nature of how they interrelate is not
completely understood. What we observe is that we often find them
ending up together in marriages or families, or as friends. Unlike the
family of 45, these cards do not reflect anything positive or negative
about each other. They all share in one predominant trait – being
fixed. What this means is that everyone who has one of these cards
as their Birth Card are very strong willed and somewhat stubborn.
They will also find changes in life to be more traumatic than most
cards.

The Family of 45 (which reduces to a Nine!)

This family is obviously the greater family and most people fall into
this group. This group is distinct from the other 7 in that they each
have two Karma Cards, one considered to be positive and the other
negative.

Your First Karma Card

This card represents a trait that you tend to express in a negative
way. This stems from a past life, of course. It could have been an
area of your life that you ignored, didn’t appreciate, or abused in
some way. As you begin this life, you tend to avoid being aware of
this area. You may not have much awareness of it at all, but others
could help make you aware of it. When you meet someone whose
Birth Card is this card, you may not like them, as they could be
acting out in ways that you do not feel comfortable with. This is why
meeting your first Karma Card can sometimes be unpleasant. You
may tend to see this same negative behavior in them that you
yourself have, and need to elevate to a higher level. We say that you
‘owe’ your first Karma Card people something. What you really owe
them is just your attention and acceptance, just as much as you
owe that to yourself. All that your first Karma Card demands of you
is conscious awareness and acceptance. Once we begin to realize
the traits associated with it, our awareness helps transform it to a
higher expression.

Your Second Karma Card

The 2nd Karma Card is the opposite of the 1st. It represents an area
of your life that you always express on a positive level, so much so
that you may hardly be aware of it’s blessing in your life. It stems
from good Karma in a past life, a place where you used the energy
of this card to help others and ended up benefiting their lives. Now
you get to enjoy it. And the more you are aware of how it functions
in your life, the more benefits you can derive. Because it is so easy
to appreciate these good qualities, when you meet someone whose
Birth Card is your second Karma Card, you tend to like them and see
their positive traits. This is sort of a cosmic joke when you think
about it. The person who is your second Karma Card will likely
resist meeting you since you are their first Karma Card, reminding
them of their shortcomings. For this reason, these Karma Card type
relationships are often very challenging. Of course the burden of
responsibility rests on the person who is the 2nd Karma Card to the
other since they are the one being most affected in a negative way
by your being together.

Keep in mind that you also have a Planetary Ruling Card to consider
to get the whole picture of who you are, along with information from
your Karma Cards and Life Spread. These are coming in our next
lessons.

Your Personal Planetary Periods each year

The way this system works is quite magical in many ways. First of
all, instead of months, the year is divided into seven planetary
periods, each 52 days long. They begin on your birthday each year.
On your birthday each year you begin the Mercury period, which
lasts for 52 days. The entire sequence is as follows:

 Mercury – begins on your birthday, lasts 52 days

 Venus – lasts 52 days
 Mars- lasts 52 days
 Jupiter – lasts 52 days
 Saturn – lasts 52 days
 Uranus – lasts 52 days
 Neptune – starts 52 days before your next birthday

The dates that each of these periods begin can be calculated by

simply adding 52 days to your birthday, and so on. For example, for
someone born on December 5th, the dates would be

 Mercury – December 5th

 Venus – January 27th
 Mars – March 20th
 Jupiter – May 11th
 Saturn – July 2nd
 Uranus – August 23rd
 Neptune – October 14th

These periods begin and end on the same dates, except on leap
year for a small number of birthdays.

The Cards You Have in each of Your Periods

In each of these periods are generally found two cards (Neptune
often has only one). These cards are not selected by you. They are
calculated from the day of your birth. Thus these cards and the
other ones in your ‘yearly spread’ as we call it, are all fixed from the
moment of your birth. The two cards in each period, we call
planetary period cards, govern these 52-day periods and tell you
what will happen, and often who that will happen with. For example,
someone who has a Four of Hearts and a Jack of Diamonds in their
Venus period might get married (Four of Hearts) to a young Diamond
man (Jack of Diamonds). And often the cards that show up in our
planetary periods are the very Birth Cards of people we know,
ensuring us that they will be the ones that we will be interacting
with at that time. It is amazing sometimes how uncannily this can
work out. I remember when I took my first class in the cards I
realized that I had an Ace of Hearts with a Two of Clubs in Venus,
right at that time. Well, Catherine Oxenberg, a famous actress
whose Birth Card is a Two of Clubs, was another student present in
that class. And the Ace of Hearts represented my strong attraction
to her. I was stunned when I discovered that, and a little
embarrassed, thinking that she would know my secret.

These planetary period cards are important for understanding what

is going on during these 52-day spans of time and helpful in making
predictions. But there are five other cards in the yearly spread that
are actually a lot more powerful than these. We call these the Year-
Long Influence Cards.

Year-Long Influence Cards

These five cards are the most powerful of all. Actually people from
the special family of seven that we discussed in our last lesson only
have three of these. But in either case, these are the cards to look
for first when making some sort of determination about what a year
holds in store for us. The five cards are:

 The Long Range Card

 The Pluto Card
 The Result Card
 The Environment Card
 The Displacement Card

The last two are the ones that the special ‘family of seven’ do not
have. It is a bit complicated to explain why right now. Just chalk it
up to their fixed natures for now.

Here’s Part 2 of Lesson Six (Your Yearly Spreads Cards – the key to
your past, present and future)…

Your Long Range Card each year

The Long Range Card is the most important of all. I call the
headliner card for the year. It essentially points to something, or in
some cases, someone, that will be the most important holder of
your attention for any given year. The cool thing about the Cards of
Your Destiny book is that you can see not only the current year’s
cards, but all the cards for your entire life. You can also do this for
anyone you know. I can often scan the Long Range Cards for
someone and see how their future will unfold over a period of years.
It is quite fascinating. But whenever I do readings on my Mr.
Destiny Podcast, the first place I look is at the caller’s Long Range
Card. Usually it will tell me everything I need to know. It is just that
important. If you do the Free Destiny Reading oi the middle of this
page (just move the slider over two times), your Long Range Card
for the current year is given to you, along with an abbreviated
interpretation. These applications also tell you what your current,
52-day period card is. There is a much longer interpretation in
the Cards of Your Destiny book. In addition, you have another Long
Range Card found in the yearly spread for your Planetary Ruling
Card, which does not appear in these free applications. When you
want the entire picture of the year you will want to know both. I
remember when I appeared on the Marilu Henner show a numbers
of years back. She was studying her spreads and looking for cards
that would represent the birth of her newborn son. There were no
childbirth cards present so she was very skeptical. However, his
Birth Card was her Long Range Card! When I pointed this out to her,
her skepticism turned into surprise and wonder.

Your Pluto and Result Cards each year

The Pluto Card and the Result Card are related. As we begin each
year, they both, when their meaning is combined together, tell you
what the challenges you will face this year. Sometimes these are
cards of people you know, or will meet. Usually they represent
something you want that you do not have as you begin your year.
When this happens, they are an important goal. Other times these
cards represent changes that you have been ignoring, but are
necessary. We used to call these the challenge cards. The cool
thing is that every year you are guaranteed to make these changes
and the reward is your Result Card, which is always interpreted in a
positive way. Sometimes it represents a quality you will possess
and in some cases a person. I remember predicting the birth of my
second son Michael because that year I had the King of Hearts,
called the father card, as my Result Card. This is how easy and
amazing this system is.

Your Environment and Displacement Cards each year

The Environment Card is always a blessing card that gives us gifts
for the current year. It also can be a person, or it could be a money
card, a move card, or a love card. Whatever it is each year, it will be
something that is helping you. Wouldn’t you like to know what yours
is?

The Displacement Card is equally important. It is a ‘locational’ card,

though that is a bit difficult to explain in an introductory article like
this. What it often does is pinpoint major years of success, fame,
recognition, reward, or in some rare cases, caution. Some of the
most important cycles of our life are heralded by our Displacement
Card.

Most people have two Yearly Spreads of cards to consider

Your Birth Card has a yearly spread and so does your Planetary
Ruling Card. So for most people this means you have two spreads to
look at each year. With so many cards, you have ample information
about every month of the year, and the year in a general sense.

All of this probably sounds a bit complicated. However, I guarantee

you that you can learn this in an hour or less. Imagine, you invest an
hour of your time to learn a tool that you can use for the rest of your
life. I have business clients who spend thousands of dollars having
me examine their yearly spreads to help them make business
decisions. You can spend $28 and get the Cards of Your
Destiny book and do it yourself!

Here is a snapshot of one person’s yearly spreads who is a Seven of

Diamonds Birth Card at age 20 from a snapshot in our Book of
Destiny 5.0 software program. You can see the Year-Long Cards at
the top and the planetary period cards below with the beginning
dates of each period displayed. The smaller cards displayed below
many of the cards here are called Underlying Cards. That is
something I teach how to do in advanced lessons.
In our next lesson I am going to teach you more about your Life
Spread Cards and how they help explain your lifetime Karma in very
specific and meaningful ways. I hope you are getting excited about
the potential you have with this kind of knowledge.

oday we continue our exploration of your destiny through your

birthday using the Science of the Cards. You have learned a great
deal so far about the identity of your Birth Card and its meaning as
well as your yearly spreads and how they reveal the particulars of
your life for any year you choose. Today I want to tell you more
about your Life Spread Cards. This topic is discussed more fully in
my book, Exploring the Little Book of the Seven Thunders, which is
more of an advanced treatment of the entire system.

Just like you have yearly spreads, you have a Life Spread that is
more powerful than all of the yearly ones. The reason for its power
is that it governs your entire life, rather than just one year. And the
cards in this spread, though it appears just like another yearly
spread, pinpoint life-long characteristics and issues. Below is a list
of what these Life Spread Cards can tell about us.

Mercury – your first years of life, how you communicate and think
Venus – your love nature and what kinds of relationship choices you
tend to make
Mars- your passions and how well you fare in legal matters
Jupiter – how you can make the most money
Saturn – some of your greatest difficulties and challenges
Uranus – your associations and success in real estate matters, as
well as some of the last years of your life
Neptune – your spiritual yearnings and the last years of your life
Pluto – the biggest transformation we must make in our life
Result or Cosmic Reward – our reward for a life well lived.

There are a few other Life Spread Cards as well but these are the
bulk of them. Combine these with the meanings of your Karma
Cards and the suit and number of your Birth Card and you have a
very detailed and highly accurate assessment of someone’s life on a
broad basis.
In the second part of Lesson Seven (Your Life Spread Cards), I’ll
illustrate the Life Spread Cards by using Britney Spears as an
example.

A good example of this would be Britney Spears. Her Birth Card is

the Three of Diamonds. The Three of Diamonds is known to have a
very difficult Life Spread, which is displayed here as follows:

Mercury – Ace of Spades

Venus – Seven of Hearts
Mars – Seven of Diamonds
Jupiter – Five of Spades
Saturn – Jack of Hearts
Uranus – Nine of Clubs
Neptune – Nine of Spades
Pluto – Two of Hearts
Result – King of Hearts

Notice that she has two Sevens and two Nines in her Life Spread.
Both sevens and nines are powerful spiritual cards, but they
represent challenges and disappointments on the material level.
Britney’s life has certainly been a long chain of unfortunate choices.
The Seven of Hearts in Venus is most telling, along with the Jack of
Hearts in Saturn. These are both very challenging cards for personal
relationships.

Everyone’s Life Spread Cards reveal intimate details about them.

And the study of these Life Spreads continually reveals new
meanings and understanding. The best way to get your Life Spread
is to get a copy of Love Cards. That book focuses most of its
attention upon a broad interpretation of each card’s life, including
all the fascinating traits revealed by their individual Life Spread
Cards. Additional Information can be found in Exploring the Little
Book of the Seven Thunders, our advanced book.

In Lesson Eight, I’ll discuss how the cards can be used to determine
the connections or relationships between two people.
The Cards and Your Relationships – Part 1
You have learned a great deal so far about the identity of your Birth
Card and its meaning as well as your yearly spreads and how they
reveal the particulars of your life for any year you choose. Today I
want to show you how this system is the most magnificent tool for
relationship understanding of any available today.

Every two cards share some connections to each other. For

example, in a previous lesson you learned how to find your Karma
Cards. A Karma Card connection is a significant relationship
connection, and one that we always look for first when examining
any two birthdays. But there are a total of over 40 different
connections any two cards can have. Most card couples will have
between 10 and 20 connections total and some will have as many
as 30. But in every single case, only the first 7 – 8 connections are
significant. The ones beyond that are just too subtle to notice for
most people.

These ‘connections’ define how the relationship will be experienced

by both partners. Most of them are planetary in nature, which means
they are represented by a planetary connection, such as Mercury,
Mars, and Uranus. What determines the significance of any given
connection is how far down the list it appears. The very first
connection found will be the most significant of all and each
connection after that is a little less in strength until you get to
around 8 where their influence is barely perceptible. So, for most
people, a relationship reading consists of somewhere between 6
and 8 of these connections, and if they have been calculated
correctly, will give an extremely accurate and meaningful picture of
these two people’s relationship.

The method for finding the connections is fairly complex. My

book Love Cards gives a fairly accurate method for doing a
relationship reading but even it has some limitations due to the
complex nature of the actual complete process. If you really wanted
to master doing relationship readings you would have to do more
study, or simply order some of our Love Cards reports, which is
based upon software I designed that does a completely accurate
relationship reading. You can also learn this method in my
book, Exploring the Little Book of the Seven Thunders. There you
will find a good description of the exact process and the tools to do
it yourself.

In the second part of Lesson Eight (The Cards and Your

Relationships), we will discuss the differences between Life Spread
and Spiritual Spread connections.

The Cards and Your Relationships –

Part 2
Here’s Part 2 of Lesson Eight (The Cards and Your
Relationships)…

Life Spread versus Spiritual Spread Connections

If you read Love Cards you will notice that about half of the
connections say ‘Life Spread’ while the other half is ‘Spiritual
Spread’ Connections. For example one might say “They are
Mars to you in the Spiritual Spread” or ‘You are Saturn to them
in the Life Spread.” There is an important distinction between
these two spreads and the connections we find there.

The Life Spread connections arise from just how your

personalities interact in this lifetime. These connections speak
to things like mutual likes and dislikes, ways of behaving and
acting, and really energies that come from how your mutual
identities match up.

The Spiritual Spread connections stem from a past life together.

All the ‘love at first sight’ connections are found here. When you
meet someone with whom you have a lot of Spiritual Spread
connections, you feel as though you know them already. For
example, you have a Spiritual Spread Venus connection and
really love someone, even if you actually can’t seem to get
along that well (because your Life Spread connections are
difficult).

All in all, it makes for a fascinating discovery process, when

you take the time to fully explore a significant relationship
using the cards. I suggest you try a relationship report for
yourself to get a sample of it. We have several to choose from
on my web site and they are very inexpensive. I guarantee you
that you will be amazed and delighted at what you discover.

In our next lesson, we will conclude the e-Course with lesson

nine where you will learn about how certain years of your life
will have extra importance and significance to you.

The Auspicious Years of Your Life – Part

1
Before you proceed to the next lesson, we are giving you a
special offer as a token of appreciation for reaching this part of
the e-course. Please see Special Offer below!

In this lesson, we complete our exploration of your destiny

through your birthday using the Science of the Cards. Careful
study and use of this amazing system over the past 20 years has
revealed some amazing information. One discovery that is
actually many discoveries is how certain years of a person’s life
will have extra importance and significance. I call these ‘years of
Auspicious Events.’ Basically there are years of life for every
single Birth Card that will have special significance. Most of these
auspicious years are years of great good fortune. There are some
that we call cautionary but overall they are positive in nature. In
this lesson I will tell you more about them and give you a sample
so you can experience this for yourself.
In chapter eight of my book, The Cards of Your Destiny, all the
auspicious years are listed for every Birth Card. Here is a list with
a brief explanation.

1. Your Rebirth Year – a blessed year in which you have the

opportunity to reset your life Karma based upon how much you
have learned up to that point in your life. It is a fresh start!
2. The Critical Year – another blessed year actually, but the most
important one in life. Many people decide whether their life is
worth living during this year.
3. Most blessed years – years in which you get profound wish
fulfillment.
4. Purpose-Finding and Fated Years – years in which you are most
likely to find your life’s true purpose and years in which destined,
life-changing events will happen for you.
5. Your Pinnacle Year – a year that could hold fame and
recognition for you, and one in which you will undergo a profound
transformation in your life. (ex president Bill Clinton was elected
during his Pinnacle Year).
6. Years of Wish Fulfillment – just as it states, these are years in
which personal wishes of yours will come true.
7. Years of the best money influences – there are several
indicators of huge financial success. My book, The Cards of Your
Destiny, lists them all for you.
8. Years of Recognition, Fame and Business Success – these are
years that you can proceed with your business plans knowing that
success is assured. Many people attain high recognition and even
fame during these years.
9. Years of Caution – these are years in which challenges may be
particularly difficult and one should take caution, as opposed to
reckless behavior.

There are actually a few more but this gives you an example of
what you can learn about your life’s path. Imagine knowing all of
these ahead of time so that you can make plans for yourself!

In the second part of Lesson Nine (The Auspicious Years of Your

Life), we will conclude by giving you one of these auspicious
influences that has a fortunate influence that you can take
advantage of.

Here’s our final lesson, Part 2 of Lesson Nine (The Auspicious

Years of Your Life)…

I am going to give you one of these auspicious influences now. It

is fairly simple to calculate and it has a fortunate influence that
you can take advantage of. I call this the ‘Jupiter Years‘. In
astrology, Jupiter is the most fortunate of the planets. The
influence of Jupiter is always associated with wish-fulfillment,
greater prosperity and overall ease in life. Each of us has a
Jupiter year every seven years of life, starting at Age 3. Age 3 is
actually the 4th year of life, but technically you would be 3 years
old during that year. So, the Jupiter years that follow occur at
these ages:

3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 38, 45, 52, 59, 66, 73, 80, 87, 94 and so forth.

If your age is one of these, you are having a Jupiter year. What
can you expect? Well, first of all, things that you have been
wanting will come to you without a lot of effort. There can be
financial success, if you are actively working. There can be other
influences that year that create challenges or even hardship. But
during a Jupiter year, there is always something good happening,
and things that you have wanted in the past are coming to you,
being fulfilled, as it were.

This gives you an example of how auspicious events and years

work in our Destiny Cards system. It is possible to plan one’s life
using this information in such a way that you experience
continual success. Imagine that!

This concludes our 18-part series on the Science of the Cards. I

hope you have learned some fun and valuable things. And I hope
to hear from you in the future as to how your card studies are
going!

Sincerely,
