SALES GROWTH OVER THE YEARS

Superstore dataset, where the Growth of overall sales of the Superstore data in different regions has
been inferred.

Use of line chart

Line charts connect individual data points in a view. They provide a simple way to visualize a
sequence of values and are useful when you want to see trends over time, or to forecast future
values.

Here the three items of the superstore have been taken into consideration that is Furniture,
Technology and office supplies.

To Specify the items following steps have to be considered.

 Put the Category in the filter Section

 In the filter, various items of the supermarket will be Shown.

selected.

have to be considered.

in Storage, Binders, phones, Chairs, copiers, appliances, and art.

USE OF BUBBLE CHART

A Bubble chart is a visualization that can be useful in showing high-level comparisons between
members of a field. Precision is not the name of the game here as it can be difficult to make visual
comparisons when bubbles are close in size or are not placed next to the category or member in
question.

To create a bubble chart, the following are the steps that need to be considered.

1. Connect to the Sample - Superstore data source.

2. Drag the Profit in the Size column.

6. Tableau displays a bar chart—the default chart type when there is a dimension on the
Columns shelf and a measure on the Rows shelf.
7. Click Show Me on the toolbar, then select the packed bubbles chart type.
8. It will show the bubble graph of the Subcategory included in the Profit.

55618. followed by phones which is 44516, then accessories made the third highest profit that is
41937 followed by Binders which is 30222. From this, it can be inferred that Copiers were the leading

supermarket store was from Fasteners that is 950.
