Compare And Contrast Essay Layout

Crafting an essay on the structure of a compare and contrast essay might seem deceptively simple at
first glance, but delving deeper reveals layers of complexity. The challenge lies not merely in
discussing the layout's components but also in elucidating their significance, intricacies, and
variations.

To begin, one must meticulously analyze the structural elements of a compare and contrast essay,
dissecting how introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion are orchestrated to present a coherent
argument. Yet, mere enumeration of these sections would be insufficient. Each component demands
thorough exploration—how the introduction sets the stage by presenting the topic and thesis, how
body paragraphs juxtapose and analyze similarities and differences, and how the conclusion
synthesizes findings and reinforces the essay's purpose.

Moreover, the difficulty escalates when considering the nuances of organizing content within each
section. Crafting a compelling introduction entails not only succinctly framing the topic but also
grabbing the reader's attention and foreshadowing the comparative analysis to follow. Meanwhile,
body paragraphs necessitate a delicate balance between presenting evidence, analyzing it, and
maintaining a logical flow. Achieving this balance requires meticulous planning and precise execution.

Additionally, addressing the diverse approaches to structuring a compare and contrast essay adds
another layer of complexity. Should one opt for a point-by-point comparison or a subject-by-subject
approach? Each method has its merits and challenges, and navigating these options requires a
nuanced understanding of the topic and audience.

Furthermore, the difficulty intensifies when grappling with the interplay between content and
structure. It's not merely about organizing information but also about crafting a narrative that
engages readers and persuades them of the essay's argument. Achieving this synergy demands not
only analytical prowess but also creativity and rhetorical finesse.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the layout of a compare and contrast essay is no simple task. It
involves navigating a labyrinth of structural components, organizational strategies, and rhetorical
considerations. Yet, amidst the complexity lies the opportunity for intellectual growth and mastery of
the written word.

The Problem Of Hate Crimes
Abstract
Over the past decade school violence has been on the rise. School violence has always
existed in some form or another, whether it is a fight out on the playground or a stabbing
in the parking lot. However nothing got the nation s attentions like on April 20, 1999,
Columbine school shooting. Ever since that day the nation wants to know what to do to
protect the kids in this country. Violence motivated by a bias against victims
characteristics which include race, religion, ethnic background, national origin, gender,
or sexual orientation, represents a serious threat to all communities. Experts estimate that
a bias related crime is committed every 14 minutes. Criminal justice officials and state
policy makers need to realize that it is key to make or adjust hate crime legislation. This
has been a heated debate for centuries. The key to solving the ever growing problem of
hate crimes is more hate crime legislation.

Crimes The news of Columbine was all over the TV, newspapers, and in every social
aspect of life. This left parents no choice but to discuss the incident with their children.
After Columbine, there seemed to be more and more reports of school violence, more
shooting, bombings, and knives being brought to school. A school is defined as an
institution for teaching and learning . However, today s educational institutions include
punishment, violence, and misbehavior. When we find ourselves glued to the television
because of another school
The Cheapest Farm Fair Money Can Rent
There she is, Rachel. Grunkle Rob said. The cheapest farm fair money can rent. I
spared every expense. There was a clicking sound and a yell, and Rachel s twin brother,
Garrett, crashed down next to Grunkle Rob in a cheap Sky Tram carriage.
I think the Sky Tram is broken, he said. Also most of my bones.
Ha ha! This guy. Grunkle Rob chuckled. Alright, alright. I got a job for you two. I
printed up a bunch of fake safety inspection certificates. Go slap one on anything that
looks anything like a lawsuit.
Grunkle Rob, is that legal? Mable asked.
When there s no cops around, anything is legal. He turned around and walked away.
Soos! How s that Dunk Tank coming along? Soos flipped up his safety visor.
Almost ready to go, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Oh... Boo. I ll be right back.
I ll be right here. Garrett laughed nervously. When Wendy was a fair distance away, he
whispered: I love you.
Look at you two, getting all romantic at the fair. Garrett saw Rachel appear with a huge
cone of candy floss in each hand.
Come on, it s no big deal.
Yeah it is!
Ok, you re right, it is! Isn t it amazing? I just dove in; I said Hey, want to hang out at the
fair and you know what she said?
What?
Yeah, I guess so. It totally worked! All your advice about just going for it; it has finally
paid off!
When are you going to learn, Garrett? I m always right about everything. Suddenly, she
frowned. Hey, do you smell a gallon of body spray?
Hey, have any of you dorks seen Wendy around? asked a voice behind them. At once,
the twins knew it was Garrett s rival, Robbie. They turned around to see a stereotypical
moody teenager with shaggy black hair in a typical eye covering emo style hairdo, pale
skin and several piercings in his ears.
And why do you want to know? Garrett asked agitatedly. Robbie plucked a generous
amount of candy floss from one of Rachel s cones.
Hey! Rachel protested.
I got some super tight jeans. I just though she might want to check them out. He stretched
and so did his jeans.
I think I saw her in the Bottomless Pit, Garrett said. You should really jump in there.
Maybe I will, smart guy. He glared and barged
Compare Winter Sundays
¨Those Winter Sundays¨ by Robert Hayden and ¨Snapping Beans¨ by Lisa Parker are
two different narrative poems that share the same theme. Similarly both poems consist
of a speaker being affected by the relationship they have with their elders. In ¨Those
Winter Sundays¨ the speaker tells us about his hardworking father who takes care of
his kids even though he may come off as a harsh father. The speaker of ¨Snapping
Beans¨ is a granddaughter who discusses about the change that she is going through but
is afraid to tell the person that raised her. Therefore this essay compares the two poems
with respect to the speaker s feelings and morals.
In ¨Snapping Beans¨ we can understand that the speaker was sheltered by her
grandmother in her youth. As in the poem the grandmother hums What A Friend We
Have In Jesus and expects her granddaughter to sing along as if they have sung the song
together before. However the speakers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the poem the speaker tells us about how his father woke up early on Sundays and
warmed the house so his family can wake up comfortably. We are also told that as he
would dress up and head down stairs he feared ¨the chronic angers of that house¨,
which can be some sort of quarrel between his father and his mother in the house. This
can also lead the reader to believe that the father may have had been a hard dad to deal
with. However the father would polish his son s shoes with his cracked hands that
ached. This shows the love that the father had for his son and now that the son has
grown he realizes what his father did for him. The sons morals and feelings have
changed him because as he has grown to become a man he has learned the true meaning
of love is being there for one s family and not expecting it to be more than what it is.
Consequently this teaches him a lesson on how much his father loved him and how
much he regrets not telling him thank
Why Dead People Are Buried
The African folktale, Why Dead People are Buried, comes from the country of
Nigeria. The folktale is about the Creator who gives the dog a message to bring into
town. The message is that whenever someone dies, they should be placed in a
compound with wood ashes over it. But, on the way into town, the dog got distracted
and did not deliver the message. So, the Creator sent the sheep into town with the same
message. But the sheep was hungry, so it stopped and ate some of the grass on the way
into town. But, he also forgot the message, so when he made it to town, he decided to
tell the people that dead bodies should be buried. A while after the sheep delivered the
message, the dog remembered it and went into town to tell the people. The townspeople...

The moral of the story is easy to know, although the story does not come straight out
and say it word for word. The moral of this folktale is that you should always stay on
task and do what is asked of you, otherwise there could be consequences. This is shown
by when the dog got distracted so he forgot the message to give to the people. Now,
since he forgot the message, he is disliked by the townspeople and not trusted, which
is his consequence. In addition, the story also gives subtle hints as to the cultural and
physical geography of Nigeria. In the story, it states ...sweet grasses by the wayside
(Why Dead People are Buried 3). Using this, we can infer that in Nigeria, there is
green grasses on the edges of the roads. Also, we can infer by the fact that the sheep
was going into town, that there are some prairie/flatland areas, as well as populated
towns and cities. As for cultural geography, one of the biggest features shown in the
folktale is that the townspeople do not like dogs. Although this may not be true for every
African person, we can infer that they may have a bad history with

Essay On Mule Deer
Mule Deer

Introduction For decades, Colorado has been home to some of the country s largest
mule deer herds, so many in fact that certain areas in Colorado are dubbed the mule deer
factory. Though this so called factory is declining, mule deer are still considered the
most iconic wildlife of the American West. Mule deer get their name from their very
large and mule like ears, which are around three fourths of the length of their heads.
Mule deer usually range from three to three and a half feet tall at the shoulder, four to
seven feet long, and can weigh anywhere from 130 to 300 pounds in some cases.

Distribution of Mule Deer and Subspecies across the US.

Mule Deer are typically active throughout the entire western United States, including the
four deserts of the American Southwest. These deserts include the Chihuahuan Desert,
Sonoran Desert, the Mojave Desert, and the Great Basin Desert. Mule deer are typically
adapted to arid and rocky environments. They typically thrive in habitats ... Show more

Mule deer are almost constantly being preyed on by all sorts of predators. This of
course, helps with the management of deer population. This is of course why people
are allowed to hunt animals such as mule deer, to help control their population. If the
population of mule deer were to get larger, odds are they would largely affect the
population of vegetation in the area where the mule deer population increased. In the act
of predation on an organism, the organism that is consumed is called the prey, and the
organism that consumes the other is called the predator. Things that could affect mule
deer population would include the population of predators which feed on the mule deer.
If the population of predators is below average, the mule deer population will usually be
higher. If the population of predators is above average, then the population of mule deer
would be below
Cognitive Bias In The Los Angeles Police Department
Back in the late 1990 s the Los Angeles Police Department was hit by a scandal in
which police officers in the Rampart division were accused of various crimes which
ranged from planting evidence, perjury, filing false police reports and physical abuse
of innocent victims and other crimes. The officers involved were in a special gang
task force called CRASH (community resources against street hoodlums) which was
created to combat gang related activity and crime in LAPD areas. It was a major
scandal because police officers are held to a higher moral standard they are expected to
not only uphold the law but abide by it as well. Cognitive bias is a systematic error in
thinking that affects the decisions and judgments that people make. (Cherry) This
scandal shows how cognitive bias has played out with not only the officers who
committed the crimes but also by the detectives led the investigation and the chief of
police himself.
The first incidence occurred in 1997 when undercover LAPD officer Lyga shot and
killed Gaines an off duty officer. Lyga did not know Gaines was a police officer and
feared for his life because Gaines was threatening him with a gun in a road rage
incidence. This case garnered attention because a white officer shot and killed a black
officer. What was discovered during this investigation was that off duty police officers
were providing security services for renowned gang member Suge Knight and his record
label Death Row Records. The detective at the time
