My Family Essay Example

This document provides an analysis of a quantitative research study based on its critical appraisal. It begins by reviewing the title, abstract, and literature review sections. The title clearly states the variable of interest, but does not specify the population or setting. The abstract summarizes the purpose and findings. The literature review establishes the need for the study and knowledge gap by citing pertinent primary sources. It then examines the theoretical framework and methodology. The framework is presented in the objective statement and methodology describes the research design, sample, data collection process, and analysis plan. In conclusion, the critical appraisal finds that the key components of the study are adequately described and presented appropriately.

My Family Essay Example

Writing an essay on the topic of "My Family" may seem deceptively easy at first, given the
familiarity of the subject. However, as one delves into the task, the complexity and intricacies of
portraying one's family in a comprehensive and meaningful manner become apparent. The challenge
lies not only in capturing the essence of familial relationships but also in presenting them in a way
that resonates with the reader.

The difficulty arises from the personal nature of the topic. While it is about one's own family, striking
a balance between objectivity and subjectivity can be challenging. It's not merely a recollection of
events or a listing of family members; rather, it requires a thoughtful exploration of the dynamics,
values, and experiences that define the family unit.

Moreover, each family is unique, and the essay must reflect this individuality. Trying to encapsulate
the diverse aspects of family life within the constraints of an essay demands careful consideration of
what to include and what to omit. Crafting a cohesive narrative that seamlessly weaves together the
different threads of family history, traditions, and personal anecdotes is a task that requires both skill
and creativity.

Another layer of complexity lies in the emotional aspect of the essay. While expressing love and
affection for one's family is a natural part of the narrative, striking the right emotional tone without
becoming overly sentimental or clichéd can be challenging. The writer must navigate the fine line
between sincerity and avoiding common tropes to ensure the essay remains genuine and resonant.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "My Family" is a nuanced task that demands a delicate
balance of personal reflection, storytelling prowess, and an understanding of what makes a family
narrative compelling. It's not just about putting words on paper; it's about capturing the essence of
one's family in a way that engages the reader and provides insight into the unique tapestry of familial
relationships.

state s, People had been sounding alarms for decades, since the earliest drops of acid
rain fell, since the sublest thinning of the ozone layer, since Chernobyl and Three Mile
Island and the oil crisis of the 1970s (103). Julia compares the Three Mile Island and
the slowing to an event where people thought the world was going to end but then it did
not. In Age of Miracles, Julia does not know what to say about the world ending or if
people are gonna die during the slowing. In the sentence mentioned above she says that if
all of these people thought that the accidents above were gonna end the world that the
slowing probably will not. Even though the slowing

Communication is the key to a healthy relationship . It is a pillar on which every

relationship is balanced. Relationships are never stable, but communication has the ability
heal every wound. Majority of Jhumpa Lahiri s work is based on the importance of
communication and relationships. Her stories are influenced by relationship problems,

The two have not been able to communicate after they lost their child. All the three

They are facing problems because of certain situations which can be termed as a barrier to
communication.

In majority of her stories, Jhumpa Lahiri indicates the relationship status of a couple
through their actions. In the story, Interpreter of Maladies , we can see that Mrs Das
hides behind her sunglasses all the time, and Mr. Das has his nose buried in a
guidebook. These actions, show that Mr and Mrs Das have been hiding from each other,
ignoring the most important incident in their life which one of them is not even aware
of. Years of miscommunication has developed an awkwardness in their relationship
where they have accepted the lack of connection between each other. On the other hand,
in The Temporary matter , Shukumar s life has changed after his child s death. He has
become highly irresponsible. He wakes up by lunch time, drinks leftover coffee and
works in the kitchen( Lahiri,Jhumpa. The temporary matter. pg 5). Shukumar s actions
and his irresponsible behavior signifies the intensity of effect his child s death had had in
his life. During the first day of power outage, Shukumar had to think of topics to
communicate, to release the awkwardness between him and Shobha. In the story, the

Introduction
According to Fain (2017) the title is written to capture the reader and inform them of the
purpose of the study. The title of the article clearly represents the research report. The
variable of interest is understood from the title. However, the population studied and the
setting of the study is not stated in the title. An abstract is constructed in order to provide
a summary of the research study and should include the purpose and findings in the study
(Fain, 2017). There is an abstract provided in the ... Show more content on

Review of Literature
According to Fain (2017), in order to validate the need for a study, an updated
literature review is vital. The cited literature is all pertinent to the research problem.
The literature review defines the knowledge gap and it is clearly understood how the
researcher reached the objective. The concept of the literature review is included
which states that knowledge of institutional guidelines and how they are perceived
and adhered to by nurses is limited. A brief summary of relevant literature and
implications to the research reveals five professional practice guidelines for VAP
prevention and chose the three that were used most often to describe adherence
guidelines as well as explore how user factors, guideline qualities, and contextual
factors influence adherence (Kiyoshi Teo et al., 2014). The resources used are
primarily primary sources which, according to Fain (2017) means they are written by
the person who developed the theory or conducted the research (p. 88). There appears
to be no secondary sources which is good because an appropriate literature review
mainly reflects the use of primary sources (Fain, 2017, p. 88).
Theoretical Framework
In a study based on theory, the framework is usually referred to as theoretical framework
(Fain, 2017, p. 103). The theoretical framework was presented clearly in the objective
statement of the article, To identify factors that influence adherence to guidelines for
prevention
