Essay On Trip

Crafting an essay on the topic of a trip may seem deceptively simple at first glance, as one might
think that narrating personal experiences or sharing travel anecdotes requires minimal effort.
However, the difficulty lies in transcending mere recollection and transforming the narrative into a
compelling piece of writing that engages readers on a deeper level.

The challenge begins with selecting the right angle for the essay. A trip could encompass a myriad of
themes – cultural experiences, personal growth, unexpected adventures, or even the impact on one's
perspective. Deciding on a focal point that resonates with the audience while maintaining the
authenticity of the narrative requires thoughtful consideration.

The structure of the essay poses another obstacle. Weaving a coherent and engaging storyline
demands a balance between chronological order and thematic organization. Transitioning smoothly
from one phase of the trip to another, while maintaining a cohesive flow, requires careful planning
and meticulous attention to detail.

Additionally, conveying the essence of the journey goes beyond simple description. The writer must
skillfully employ descriptive language, engaging metaphors, and vivid imagery to transport the reader
into the experience. Creating an emotional connection with the audience involves skillful word
choice and an understanding of the nuances of storytelling.

Furthermore, the challenge lies in avoiding the trap of clichés. With countless essays on travel
experiences available, it is crucial to infuse a unique perspective or a personal touch to stand out.
This requires a level of introspection and creativity that elevates the essay from a mundane
travelogue to a thought-provoking piece of literature.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of a trip may seem straightforward, but the real difficulty
lies in the art of storytelling. Crafting a compelling narrative that captivates the reader, choosing the
right theme, structuring the essay effectively, and avoiding clichés are all aspects that contribute to
the complexity of this task.

Outline Of 1984 By George Orwell
Outline Part 3 Text: 1984 by Gorge Orwell Question 4: Which social groups are
marginalised, excluded or silenced within the text? Points of focus: The most
effective way of controlling a group of people is by taking away their language In
1984 , all social groups are to a certain extent silenced in some way, the common tool
being the use of language to do so. The commanding inner party does not only silence
the proles and the outer party, but in doing so also silences themselves The proles are
left on their own and described as easily controlled due to their unintelligence and lack of

proletarians, who make up 80 percent of the population, are free from the Inner Party s
surveillance and oppression. Even though they live under the worst conditions, with the
most labor heavy jobs, the thought police does not spy on them, as they are regarded
not being dangerous. To keep them in control was not difficult (...) no attempt was made
to indoctrinate them with the ideology of the Party (Orwell, 82). In contrast to the Outer
Party, the proles are regarded as harmless. They are uneducated and therefore too
unintelligent to rebel. The inner party does not actively control or surveil the proles,
though this is only possible due to the restricted language. It is their lack of language,
and thereby thought, that keeps them from being a threat to the inner party. This also
results in Winston giving up his hope on the proles, writing in his diary that Until they
become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot
become conscious (Orwell, 81). Stuck in this paradox, the proles will presumably never
rebel, meaning that they are ultimately silenced in the same way as the rest of the
society; through the restriction of

India s two top telecom operators, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, are locked in a tight
competition which has triggered another round of price war in the industry. But unlike
the 3G price war in 2012 or 4G price war in 2016, the new battle isn t about who is
offering the lowest price but who can sell for free and for how long. And then, there s a
revived interest in targeting the lower tier of userbase that is still using the 2G feature
phones.

In September, Reliance Jio launched its fourth generation (4G) wireless internet services,
that has led to a financially bleeding battle between telecom operators.

The Character Of Diana In The New Woman
George Meredith s 1885 Diana of the Crossways accounts the charming and witty titular
heroine through her miserable marriage and the subsequent fallout. Although Diana is
based on polemicist Caroline Norton s own disastrous marriage and divorce scandal,
Meredith s protagonist borders between New Woman themes and Victorian feminine
ideals, as Diana does not damningly deviates from the latter. In this essay, I will explore
how Meredith has rendered the character of Diana palatable for upper and middle class
Victorian readers by comparing her to her real life counterpart, to Thomas Hardys
portrayal of the New Womanand his issues with publication and how Meredith s
characterization has created an archetypical character thereby allowing for critical and
commercial success. The New Woman was a feminist ideal used to describe an
independent, educated, and self reliant woman who typically would push the limits of
the male dominated society. While Meredith has come to be remembered as a friend to
women s plight for his sympathetic depiction of women in his novels, he has taken
certain liberties to convey Diana as digestible as possible to his audience rather than
realistically or particularly liberated. In a time in which women were expected to get
married not that marriagewas meant to satisfy their emotional or sexual needs Caroline
Norton is often described as being pushed into marriage to George Norton. Caroline
Norton and her sisters had come to be known as the Graces , an allusion to the Greek
goddesses of charm, beauty, and human creativity, for their own beauty and
accomplishments. For this, George Norton was willing to accept her without a dowry.
Meredith s Diana abruptly enters her engagement after having her best friend s husband
demonstrate sexual interest in her. In a letter to her best friend, she states, Signify your
approval, for I have decided that it is the wisest thing a waif can do [marriage].
(Meredith 54) This slight narrative alteration presents Diana sympathetically to the
audience as a woman seeking male protection, a very proper action a Victorian woman
should make. The action seems sensible if not laudable, which will only garner
sympathy for Diana later on once it is revealed what
Identity In Joseph Boyden s Three Day Road
An individual s identity is an ever changing composition of a person s aspirations,
beliefs and morality. Identity change is often influenced by many aspects of an
individual s life, but individuals must always return to their roots in order to stay true
to their morality. This internal struggle over one s identity is successfully illustrated in
the characters of Three Day Road. In the novel, Joseph Boyden vividly recounts the
journey of two Native Canadian soldiers, Xavier and Elijah, who struggle with identity
loss from the adversity of the Great War. Through their harrowing experiences from the
battlefield, they experience a dissipation of morals which is only recovered in Xavier,
the sole survivor, through Niska s stories of her past, his own past, and of the... Show

Elijah s tragic descent to madness forewarns the dangers of assuming an identity
drastically different from one s true morality. From the beginning, Elijah felt that there
was a need to fit in with the other soldiers by adopting a British persona when speaking
to others. In a shared code with Grey Eyes, Elijah says, Dear Henry, [...] would you be
a kind chap and make me a cup of tea? (144). Although his British accent appears to be a
convoluted joke, Elijah is really abandoning his Cree language in favour of a British
accent to please his peers. Despite the native language being an essential part of his
childhood identity, Elijah succumbs to the white man s perceived notions of the Cree
language being related to witchcraft as he strips away his native language to fit in with
the others. This sudden transformation to match a white man s identity ultimately results
in an identity crisis that drives him to insanity. Xavier illustrates this when he notices that,
Astrology Midterm Paper
Midterm Paper: Astrology as a Pseudoscience While Astrology was based on the
scientifically supported surveillance and movement of celestial bodies , majority of the
work drawn from observations have been poorly executed and negatively received.
Astrology consistently contradicts itself and the professionals that claim it as their
practice rarely have any factual counterarguments for the numerous holes in the research
methods or their reliance on mere observation. Astrology began in Mesopotamia around
3000 B.C. when civilizations began to observe the constellations and planets in the sky.
The Babylonians then realized that the position of celestial bodies allowed them to
predict the seasons and other events that happened cyclically... Show more content on

Penn and Teller conducted an experiment that measured the satisfaction of a
personality description that was written out for every individual in a classroom. The
general response was that of a positive reaction to the description, meaning that
majority of the students deemed their report to be fair and relatively reflective of their
personality. The professor then revealed to the class that each student had received the
same description with no variation whatsoever. This experiment exposes modern
astrology and horoscope work for what it really is. A large blanket personality
statement that majority of the population will accept as true. Modern astrology will take
a generalization and dole it out to any uneducated reader of a gossip column or
newspaper. The reader is amazed by the accuracy and continues to buy into the concept
of astrology. This astrological magic show, while very entertaining is not a science, rather
a cut and dry statement that makes the ordinary feel special. Astrology in the 20th and
21st century utilizes very little to no factual information and instead focuses on the
cultivation of a large audience with money to spend. Astrologists and a sympathetic
community do however provide counter arguments as to why Astrology should be taken
seriously. They argue that their methodology is no different from other
Essay on On Stuttering
Two Authors: same struggle In the short stories, On Stuttering, by Edward Hoagland, and
Me Talk Pretty, by David Sedaris, the authors discuss how they dealt with their speech
impediments. They wrote about the way they handled their difficulties with speech, the
different strategies they used, and how their limitations affected how they felt about
themselves. Although the two author s handicaps were not identical, they both used
similar approaches to overcome them. After 60 years of stuttering, Hoagland reminisces
about his struggles and triumphs to overcome his stuttering. While attending school, he
learned that, Life can become a matter of measuring the importance of anything you have
to say. He felt that it was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After losing his sight for a short period of time, he realized that stuttering was just a
lesser difficulty of life. If he wanted to survive he would be forced to speak. It is at this
point he realizes that he can speak without stuttering when he is forced to and he comes
to terms that we all run into to obstacles we must overcome. Sedaris too struggles with a
speech impediment. Although his handicap was not stuttering, he too finds it easier not
to speak unless absolutely necessary. After moving to Paris, Sedaris returns to school
where he must speak and understand French fluently. Unfortunately, he is anything but
fluent. Sedaris knew that he would be expected to perform. On his first day of school the
teacher asked, has everyone apzkiubjxow? Who knows the alphabet? With this the
students began introducing themselves alphabetically. The Two Polish Annas go first.
The first Anna worked as a seamstress and hated the mosquito. The teacher replied, I
thought everyone loved the mosquito. As the teacher continued to ridicule the other
students, Sedaris tries to think of an answer to what had become a trick question. Next it
was the Yugoslavian girls turn. She was accused of master minding a program of
genocide. When it was Sedaris turn, he made the critical mistake of assigning the wrong
gender to both the typewriter and the floor waxer. His teacher continues to belittle the
students one by one.
