Title: Smart Shoes and Glasses For Blind: I. Group Members: .

This document describes three projects to assist blind people: smart shoes, smart glasses, and a smart cane. The smart shoes and cane use ultrasonic sensors and buzzers to detect nearby objects and warn the user via vibration or sound. The smart glasses center an obstacle detecting module that communicates with a processing unit and buzzer. Block diagrams show the components of each device, which aim to help blind individuals navigate safely and independently at an affordable cost.

II. Abstract :
• Smart Shoes for blind

Eyes-we all know that this is the best gift god give us. All the things happen around
us, this whole world is Visible to us, because of eyes. But there are some people
who can’t able to see the things happen around them, They can’t see what’s going
on their surrounding areas, because they are blind or they lost their vision
Permanently. Those people face many challenges in their daily life. They used
walking cane, or stick to move And detection of any object. But stick is not give
proper results and it issued for limited range. There are many Types of sticks and
other devices are available in market but they are very expensive, so poor people
can’t buy It. This paper presents smart shoes for blind person. This smart shoe is
easy to use and it creates user-friendly Environment for blind person. It is wearable
system. And it is not expensive. In this ultrasonic sensor, buzzer, Battery, Arduino
Uno and jumper wires are used.

• Smart glasses

These “Smart Glasses” are designed to help the blind people to walking. Useful for
help with identifying object Smart Glasses” are a very helpful device for people
with vision difficulties. They can use this product everywhere all the time and
improve their lives The team members faced many new technical aspects and
learn a new concept that has not been taught before in college courses. Glasses
are designed to be the eye for the blind person and people who suffer From vision
difficulties to make their life easier and be able to continue living their Life as a
normal human The idea of the project is to make glasses for blind people that help
them in normal life These people need some help to make their life easier and
better. The Main goal of “Smart Glasses” is to help blind people and people who
have vision difficulties By introducing a new technology.
The glasses with an obstacle detecting module In the centre, a processing unit and
a power supply make up this device. The processing unit is coupled to the obstacle
detecting module and the output device. The central processing unit receives
power from the power supply.

Block Diagram:

In this block diagram of smart glasses for blind, there are various components are present like
ultrasonic sensor, NE 555 IC, 10 k ohm preset, 1k ohm resistor, 10 micro farad 25 v
capacitor,100 micro farad 25 v capacitor, Buzzer, 3.7v to 5v battery, and glasses.

First the glasses sensor are ultrasonic sensor are scan the front of the scanner object between
range of 40 cm to 150 cm. Then the help of the IC the output of sensor will transfer to the
buzzer and buzzer will beeping start. When the ultrasonic sensor near the any object the
buzzer will beeping loudly, and the object will the long in distance with ultrasonic sensor the
buzzer will star beeping will low noise. Provide the power for whole circuit will used the 3.7 v
to 5 v battery. It will gives power for the whole circuit.

• Smart Cane

In this project, we will make an intelligent Smart Cane for the visually impaired. I
believe the words of Hugh Herr “Humans are not disabled. A person can never be
broken. Our built environment, our technologies, is broken and disabled. We the
people need not accept our limitations, but can transfer disability through
technological innovation”. When I see the Arduino nano and Ultrasonic sensor, I
think, let’s make an ultrasonic blind walking stick. When I see the Arduino nano and
Ultrasonic sensor, I think, let’s make an ultrasonic blind walking stick.

Smartcains detect the obstacle in front of the person and respond to the person by
vibrating the stick and with a warning sound. Through this, the visually impaired
person can know the obstacles in front of him.
