I. Introduction

Low-cost housing can be achieved by efficient project planning and management,

low-cost materials, cost-effective construction technology, and the use of alternative

construction methods. Profits from such ways can be used to reduce construction

costs and make low-cost homes more accessible to all. Housing that is affordable to

low- and middle-income families is referred to as affordable housing. The growing

demand for low-cost housing projects is primarily due to urbanization. By developing

novel structures and/or improving existing structures, the selection of construction

materials should match the needs of local circumstances to improve the worth of life

for the most desirable ones. The goal of urban housing sustainability is to develop

innovative ways to successful human settlements that integrate energy and

environmental concerns.

A balance of environmental, economic, and social issues, as well as technical

issues, is essential to produce a sustainable housing project. According to the findings,

engineering and construction materials account for up to 60% of the entire cost of a

low-income housing project. Furthermore, walls organize up to 50% of total material

costs and up to 45 percent of overall construction time. Material availability,

manufacturing procedures, and labor needs all have an impact on the material choice

for wall construction.

VivanW.Y.Tam (2011), carried out study on cost effective of using low-cost

housing Technologies in construction, the foundation, walling, roofing, and lintel

building methods are all contrasted. When comparing low-cost housing technologies

to traditional construction methods, strength and durability, safety, and mental

fulfillment are the aspects that take precedence.

R.Caponetto et al (2013), carried out study on Ecological materials and

technologies in low-cost building systems, it has been discovered that the high

recyclability of natural materials that may be used in low-cost construction, together

with construction techniques capable of utilizing bioclimatic architectural principles

for living needs, allows us to develop ecologically conscious and responsible

buildings. Simultaneously, a customized block project was devised to suit the

objectives of sustainability and building ease.

This study aims to know the benefits of low cost high strength architecture and to

give detailed review on low cost building design, planning, selecting proper building

material and construction.

II. Statement of the Problem

The main purpose of this study is to acknowledge the benefits of low-cost, high

strength architectural housing technologies in construction which discusses the most

efficient use of available alternative construction methods.

1. What is the demographic profile of the participants in terms of:

1.1 Name (optional);

1.2 Sex; and

1.3 Age.

4
BENEFITS OF LOWC-OST HIGH STRENGTH ARCHITECTURE

STA. CRUZ ACADEMY OF LUBAO, INC.

2. What is the most recommended type of material to buy on a low budget with

high quality architecture?

3. Why do people prefer to build low-cost, high strength structures?

4. What is the opinion of the proffesionals regarding low-cost, high quality

architecture?

III. Scope and Delimitation of the Study

The general intent of this study is to know the benefits of low-cost high strength

architecture. This research is limited to the buyers or to the people who wants low

costs with high strength architecture.

This research will primarily focus on identifying and evaluating the benefits of low

cost high strength architecture. In addition, this research aims to determine how

researchers can better develop and assist the buyers or the people to build low-cost,

high strength structures.

IV. Review of Related Literature

According to Tomas.U.Ganiron et al (2014), carried out study on Prefabricated

Technology in a modular home, one of the study's intriguing findings is that

prefabricated components have a significant difference in terms of building cost when

compared to traditional methods, owing to the materials and quick construction time.

As stated by John M.Hutcheson (2011), carried out study on project management

of low cost housing in developing countries, it is noted that this paper's research

covers designs, cost control systems, communications, contract law, and planning. An

understanding of the evidence combined with the issues presented throughout the

paper leads to conclusions about the necessity for design simplifications, the impact

of insufficient local support, and hence the requirement for deep and comprehensive

prior planning. Furthermore, the conclusions emphasize the importance of carefully

assembling self-supporting teams of multi-disciplined professionals and sub-

professionals.

However, Bredenoord J (2016), carried out study on sustainable Housing and

Building Materials for Low-income Households; it has been determined that long-

term aims for low-cost housing and applications are feasible. Measurements of

neighborhood physical development, such as urban density and connection, are just as

significant as community development measures. The final category includes funding

for community-based organizations, small housing cooperatives (or similar forms of

collaboration), and individual households – or small groups – that incrementally build

and expand their homes. For incremental housing to be sustainable, it must have

appropriate design, social organization, and support.

As mentioned by, Ali Haider Jasvi1 et al (2015), carried out study on

Sustainable Use Of Low Cost Building Materials In The Rural, it is observed that,

The key problem is to employ materials in structural components for low-cost housing

and to adapt them to many impacts such as technological, social, ecological, and

physical through various products. It discusses the necessity for housing in rural India

and describes different materials and construction procedures for low-income

individuals and urban poor people in various elements of construction. It encompasses

the use of local materials in construction to save money and make dwellings more

affordable for low-income individuals.

In addition, Mohannad sharif zami et al (2010) carried out study on Economic

benefits of contemporary earth construction in low cost urban housing state, on

every continent and in every era, stabilized earth has been observed as an alternative

building material. This article examines and defends the economic benefits of using

earth as a building material, as well as the accompanying construction techniques for

developing-country urban housing.

V. Methodology

The researchers used the Qualitative Research, which is designed for the

researchers to gather information about present existing condition or relationship,

practices that prevail, beliefs and point of view and attitudes that are needed in the

chosen Field of Study. This method entitled the researchers to interpret the theoretical

meaning of the findings and hypotheses development for further studies.

Participants and Sampling Procedure

The researchers used a convenience sampling technique to collect data or

information from 5 selected participants who had knowledge of low cost high

strength architecture. In using convenience sampling, researchers selected

respondents could be gathered by simply asking people on the street, in a public

building, or at work.

Data Gathering Procedures

Identify the Topic/Problem

 The researchers continue their research by brainstorming specific topics that

they believe would be beneficial not just to them, but to everyone who prefer

low cost high strength structure and the benefits of it to addressed in this

study.

Know your respondent

 The researchers selected 5 participants who had knowledge of low-cost high

strength architecture that are target of this study. The researchers focus on the

5 selected participants to gather data and information needed to make this

research possible.

Formulate the Staement of the Problem

The researchers formulated the statement of the problem by identifying the problems

and specific questions that are needed to be elaborated and answered.

Ethical Considerations

The researchers consider the participants demographic profile ( name could be

optional, sex, and age) in the data collections, analysis and reporting of the study
findings.

VI. Abstract

Low-cost housing is a distinct idea that deals with effective costing and the use of

approaches that help in lowering construction costs by utilizing locally accessible

materials and enhanced technologies without sacrificing the structure's power,

performance, or longevity. There is a widespread misperception that low-cost housing

is only fit for substandard work and is constructed using low-quality building

materials. The fact is that low-cost housing is achieved through effective resource

management. Finishing works might also be postponed or implemented in stages to

save money. Reduced costs are achieved by the use of more efficient materials or

improved design. The use of low-cost construction materials in the development of

low-cost homes promotes low-income people's access to buildings. Pollution

prevention, energy efficiency, use of local materials, energy efficiency, use of non-

toxic building materials, longitivity, durability, and maintenance of building

materials, recyclability and reusability of building materials, and biodegrability are all

advantages of low-cost building materials. This article contains reviews of several

low-cost building designs and management.
