BOISE, Idaho — Feb. 14, 2024 — Albertsons Companies has voluntarily recalled six store-made items that
include recalled Dietz & Watson charcuterie meat products produced by Fratelli Beretta due to possible
Salmonella contamination. The store created products include Gourmet Charcuterie Sampler Bags, Sliced
Charcuterie, and a ReadyMeals Italian Ciabatta Sandwich. The USDA announcement for the Fratelli

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or
elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with Salmonella
often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
Consumers who have purchased these items are urged not to consume these products and to dispose of
them or return the items to their local store for a full refund.
There have been no known reports of injuries or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The six store-made items were available for purchase at the following banner stores: ACME, Albertsons,
Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market, Kings Food Markets, Safeway, Shaw’s and Star Market in Connecticut,
Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon,
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and the state of Washington.
