Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s):
☐ Remembering ☐ Understanding ☐ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating
☐ Teacher-directed: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations.
☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic for
presentation and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. Products of
learning will be uniquely designed. Teacher simply facilitates the learning in a lesson like this.
☐ Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing it via an outside source.
Lesson idea implementation: For this lesson on exploring ecosystems, Sway will be used as a
basic productivity tool. Students will collaborate in groups to produce interactive
presentations about several ecosystems as part of the planned activity. The significance of
ecosystems and their components will be covered in the introduction to the class. The
students in the classroom will be instructed that their goal is to research their assigned
ecosystem and develop a creative and engaging educational presentation. Students will use

pictures or quizzes to engage their audience in order to make use of the available technology.
Throughout the process, students will be offered direction and encouragement to make sure
they stay on task and make productive use of the technology. Students will receive feedback
through teacher assessments and peer evaluations. After having the chance to present their
Sway presentations to the class, students will receive constructive criticism to help them
become more successful with the work they present. To conclude this lesson, a class
discussion will be incorporated for students to share their knowledge and insights about the
topic at hand. Last, the educator will reinforce the importance of preserving and protecting
these ecosystems.
Managing the technology/engagement: Describe a way to use this technology in a way that
gets students actively involved in authentic tasks and contexts? How will you manage the
classroom behaviors on the technology:
A storyboard, which is a documented plan before using the computer, can be utilized to
manage classroom behavior when using technology. Students will be able stay focused on
their learning objectives and work efficiently as a result. Time constraints and teamwork
will be promoted to guarantee participation and task fulfillment within the specified period
of time.
