EXERCISE – I

1. Express f(x) = 𝑥 5 − 5𝑥 4 + 6𝑥 3 − 7𝑥 2 + 8𝑥 − 9 in powers of(𝑥 − 1).


2. Expand f(x) = 𝑥 4 − 3𝑥 3 + 2𝑥 2 − 𝑥 + 1 in powers of (𝑥 − 3).
3. Expand f(x) = 𝑥 3 − 2𝑥 2 + 3𝑥 + 5 in powers of (𝑥 − 2)
4. Expand f(x) = 2𝑥 2 + 3𝑥 2 − 8𝑥 + 7 in terms of (𝑥 − 2)
5. Expand in f(x) = √1 + 𝑥 + 2𝑥 2 powers of (𝑥 − 1) using Taylor’s series.
