Injector Coding Information
Injector Coding Information
Common rail diesel fuel injectors require calibration, which describe the characteristics of each
individual injector. Due to fine tolerances, it is impossible to produce injectors with the same
characteristics. Calibration of the injectors serves to compensate these small differences in
injection characteristics. Injector calibration code is used to specify injection parameters such as
EM/EP, LL/ID, VL/FL, VE/PI, ISA and QS. These injector-specific parameters are encoded within
the injector calibration code.
All injector codes are checksum-protected against mistyping and our diagnostic applications
validate injectors codes before coding it in the control unit.
