EMCEE FOR DPC 2023

I would like to request everyone to please take a seat. The


program will start in a few minutes. Thank you.

Before we commence to this day’s activity, may I please


request everyone to please rise as we take pride in showing our
JOY OF PATRIOTISM by singing the Philippine National Anthem
to be led by Maam Marilou Jaime of Burot Integrated School
and please remain standing for it will be followed by a
heartwarming ONENESS IN PRAYER to be led by Maam Frances
Datuin of Armenia Integrated School.
Please be seated. Please allow me to begin with a quote from
Henry Grunwald that says “Journalism can never be silent: that
its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and
speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of
triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air” A blessed
morning Tarlac City South A District! And welcome to our 2023
Schools Press Conference bearing the theme “Intensifying the
Role of Campus Journalism in Literacy Recovery and
Community Empowerment”.
This day will not be complete without acknowledging the
Almighty LORD for giving us this perfect day! The presence of
our supportive parents and guardians, the future torch bearers
of truth and integrity, they are of course our Campus
Journalists, our hardworking and dedicated
teachers/coaches/facilitators/care-givers of the day, The
untiring and fellow SPAs, our distinct Speakers and Judges, the
awe-inspiring all female School Heads of Tarlac South A (from
Armenia Integrated School Maam Rosalina Vilma Samaniego,
from Atioc Dela Paz Elementary School we have Maam Amie Fe
D. Feria, from Burot Integrated School’s very own Maam Luzvi
P. Concepcion, Maam Solita T. Madayag of San Carlos
Elementary School, Maam Cynthia F. Cerezo of San Francisco
Elementary School, from San Miguel Central Elementary School
we have Maam Alona A. Malllari, Maam Luzviminda Y. Panlilio
representing Sitio Dam Elementary School, from Sapang
Tagalog Elementary School we have Maam Vilma B. Cawigan,
and from Yabutan Elementary School we have Maam Sunshine
C. Castro.
And of course, joining us this morning our supportive and
passion driven PSDS, Dr. Julius G. Gamis. We would also like to
give our warm greetings and acknowledgements to our tireless
and highly competent Education Program Supervisors Dr.
Rowena Tiamzon EPSVr in Filipino and Dr. Reymar D. Paguio
EPSVr in English. Once again, good morning!
To further recognize all the attendees this day, let me call on
Maam Mary Jane Tamayo to lead in RECOGNIZING
EVERYBODY’S PRESENCE.
Well, I hope everybody is now more energized?
And with that note, for all of us to be more inspired especially
to our young Campus Journalists, let me call on our Education
Program Supervisor in Filipino, Dr. Rowena Tiamzon for her
NOTES OF ENCOURAGEMENT. How about a big round of
applause?
Thank you po Dr. Rowena Tiamzon for your words
encouragement and for also boosting the confidence of our
journalists.
To further ignite our thoughts and to amplify our passion in
journalism, to give his A-WE-SPIRIT MESSAGE without further
ado, our Education Program Supervisor in English, the Supremo
himself, let’s give it up for Dr. Reymar D. Paguio! A warm
applause please!
Thank your Dr. Reymar D. Paguio, indeed, your awe-inspiring
message will be put at heart not only by our young journalists
but by all of us. Once again, thank you sir.
As we move on with our program, I know you are all excited to
begin our competition, and with that note to formally open our
Press Conference, after more than 2 years, the SPARK OF
JOURNALISM will be once again be lit. Let me call on our Public
Schools Division Supervisor, Dr. Julius G. Gamis and Dr. Amie Fe
D. Feria Principal II of ADES and at the same time our Principal
Consultant.
Thank you, sir, and maam. Since our PressCon is now officially
open, let me call on to the stage Ms. Shanelle Theresse M.
Manguera, Journalist from Burot Integrated School to lead us in
IGNITING THE JOURNALIST’S CREED.
I can feel the excitement of our journalists. The anticipation is
in the air indeed. But before we proceed to the main event, lets
be reminded of the simple rules to be given to us by our School
Paper Adviser Association President, hails from Atioc Dela Paz
ES, the enthusiastic, Sir Arron Rez L. Bondoc. A big warm
applause please!
And that concludes our First Day Opening Program. We will be
gathered here once again later this afternoon for the awarding
of the winners in the individual category. May the odds be in
your favor! God bless you all, journalists!
