FloWave Designer
FloWave Designer is the core and the base component of FloWave software which helps to build and manage
Forms. Forms that are designed and published will be available in FloWave Portal. Many versions of the same
forms can be maintained but only one version can be used at any point of time.
Overview:
To login on FloWave, User need to have a valid login id, password & access rights. FloWave Designer supports
only Enterprise authentication mode. Only users of following “User Type” will be granted access.

FloWave Connect
FloWave Connect is another component of FloWave software that helps to build and manage process (Workflow)
for the designed Forms. Workflow is available for transaction type forms only.
Many versions of the same workflow can be maintained but only one version can be used at any point of time.
Overview
To login on FloWave, User need to have a valid login id, password & access rights. FloWave Connect supports only
Enterprise authentication mode. Only users of following “User Type” will be granted access.

FloWave Manager:
FloWave Manager is another component of FloWave software that helps to manage all the user creation,
permissions and related items.

FloWave Portal
The portal is the web front end component of the FloWave software suite that helps users to collaborate and
manage their business process online. It is the face of FloWave for all business users.
To login on FloWave, User need to have a valid login id, password & sufficient access rights. FloWave Portal
supports both Enterprise & Windows Active Directory authentication mode.

Search for records
Step 1: To search for a completed process, access the listing page
Step 2: Enter the value to search in the respective textbox and click Search icon and the related records will be
retrieved.

Click on “Pending” to view all the pending tasks of the respective process. The list shown will be respective to
the user login.

These values are referred as “Library” values in FloWave. Library values can be created either in FloWave Designer
or FloWave Manager.
Note: Default Libraries starts with SYS_ will be available for all multi-tenanted companies.
Step 1: Click on the “Library” button and press icon to add new library types and the library values.

Library Type: STATUS
Value: Active (this has to be unique for an Item Type)
Description: Name or Description to be displayed
Order No: In the sequence you want the values to be displayed in the dropdown box
Add couple of more Library Type that we will be using in our first form.
Item Type: COUNTRY
Value: SG (this has to be unique for an Item Type)
Description: Name or Description to be displayed
Order: In the sequence you want the values to be displayed in the dropdown box
Similarly add for “TH” for Thailand, “IN” for India

Step 5: Drag and Drop a Multiline Textbox control into the Row. Click on the Multiline textbox and select
Properties.
Multiline Textbox are used to enter multi line data such as address, remarks etc...

Step 7: Press Classic Dropdown - Drag and Drop Library control into the Table Layout Panel. Click the property
icon and select Properties on the popup menu.
Dropdown Library is used to display list of values for users to choose such as Status, Country, State, Gender.

Step 10: Drag and Drop an Attachment control into the Table Layout Panel. Click on the Attachment control and
select Properties.

Attachments can store either single file or multiple files. To store only a single attachment, Select “Single

System Reference are fields that refresh to the list of system values that can be used to display or capture.
The following System Reference types are available in the system:
User, Division, Department and Team.
Step 11: Choose names tab, Drag and Drop Ajax system control into the Row. Click on the Ajax system control and
select Properties.

Step 4: Again, Click Save Form Button and press Publish. This will increment the form from version from 0 to 1
(increment to the next version). Basically, the form stores a copy of the form in a version and it can be retrieved
any time.

FORM VALIDATION
Whenever a form is submitted the system can be configured to perform a specific validation. Upon successful
validation the form will be allowed to submit, otherwise it will be prevented from submitting.

To illustrate this, we will create an Item Form, Package form and then refer these items in a grid.
Step 1: In order to achieve this, we first need to do a Master Form to reference. For our exercise, we will create a
simple Item Master form (Master Form) which will be a child form.
Step 2: We will create another master form. For our exercise, we will Package form (Master Form).

CONFIGURING A WORKFLOW
Let us know create a workflow for the OpportunityForm
Step 1: Click on the button, create a new workflow process and choose Opportunity Form from the
Administrator menu. click on the in Opportunity Form

Step 3: To set workflow properties, click on the button and enter the following:
ID: Opportunity
Name: Opportunity

Step 2: Right click on icon and choose Properties. Enter the following information.
ID: System will generate a default name and it can be overwritten to a preferred value. The value should be
unique for this workflow process.
Name: Name of the state. Enter “Open”. This field can have duplicate names.

Step 4: Click on the “Left State Panel → drag and drop onto the Design Canvas. It’s a mandatory state and a
process may end in this state.

These validations can be performed at various levels - Initiate Level, Update Level, Completion Level, Void Level or
Terminate Level. This is performed at State level after the Form & Workflow validation.

A page is submitted (State Assign):
State Assign feature is used to dynamically assign responsibility to a specific user to that state. It will override all
the manual selection of that state.

AUTO STATE
Indicate that this State will be complete automatically by the system. To make an auto state, select the check box.
The Default Next Action will be chosen as the action by the System. The Default Next Action, should be set to an
action, otherwise Auto State completion will fail.

AUTO CLOSE
In InProgress, configure auto close to "Closed Lost" after 30 days
The Default Next Action should be set to an action, otherwise Auto State completion will fail or else No Condition
Flow is satisfied or Auto Close is enabled.
