    1. Two numbers are in the ratio 12 : 13. Find their percentages.


    2. If 35% of an alloy contains zinc and the weight of the zinc in the alloy is
    245g. Find the weight of the alloy.
    3. A 15% increase in the price of a saree is Rs. 105. What is the original price
    of the saree?
    4. By selling a table for Rs.1320, a trader loses Rs.120. At what price must he
    sell the article to gain 15%?
    5. A house was purchased for Rs.4,00,000 and sold at a profit of 25% . Find the
    selling price?
    6. At what rate percent will a sum of money triple itself in 10 years?
    7. A former borrowed Rs. 15,000 from a money lender at 13% per annum for
    simple interest. At the end of 3 years he settled the account after paying Rs.
    8000 cash and a motor cycle. Find the value of the motor cycle.
    8. In how much time will the interest on Rs.800 at 12.5 % per annum be Rs.125.
    9. (i) The speed of a train is 110 km/hr. It is increased by 20%. Find the new
    speed of the train?
