Near the Lublin Market Square you will find a stone of the right size, but it is better not to
touch it. Apparently, at the beginning of the 15th century, this stone was located in Plac
Bernardyński, a former execution site, where it served as a base for the executioner's trunk.
If you believe the legends, one day the executioner beheaded an innocent man, and the
blow was so strong that it additionally split the trunk and left a deep crack in the stone. It
was then that the stone acquired its fatal power and became the curse of the inhabitants.
