Parallel Lines and Transversal

1) Parallel lines are lines that are in the same plane and do not intersect. A transversal is a line that intersects two other lines. 2) Vertical angles are pairs of opposite angles formed by intersecting lines including parallel lines with a transversal. Vertical angles are congruent. 3) Corresponding angles formed when a transversal cuts parallel lines are congruent. Alternate interior angles and alternate exterior angles formed are also congruent. Same-side interior angles are supplementary.
