PROFILE:
I am an experienced Civil Engineer and an Urban Planner with an extensive background in urban
development. My expertise encompasses various aspects of urban planning, including the formulation of
development plans, town planning schemes, and local area plans for metropolitan areas. Over the course of
my career, I have cultivated a profound understanding of infrastructure development principles, particularly
within urban and industrial contexts.
I possess a keen interest in the entirety of urban development, with a special focus on transit-oriented
development and the promotion of inclusive city-building. Furthermore, I am dedicated to leveraging AI
technologies to advance the cause of creating smart, sustainable, and resilient cities.
EMPLOYMENT:
Cleared the competitive State Public Service Commission examination. Stood amongst top 10
candidates during the recruitment process.
Assisted the state government in securing balanced and planned urban development through
preparation and implementation of city level development plans at the macro level and
neighborhood level town planning schemes at the micro-level as per Gujarat Town Planning and
Urban Development Act 1976.
Supervised a planning team for preparation of development plan for an urban area of 66 Sq. kms
and 0.5 million population.
Scrutinized the layout and building plans submitted by the real estate developers to ensure its
compliance with development control guidelines and zoning regulations.
As a technical expert gave consultation to the local authorities and other government departments
for the land use conversion, land valuation, and other urban development-related matters.
As a member of the town vending committee, ensured the livelihood rights and social security of
urban street vendors in the town are protected as per the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood
and Regulation of Street Vending) Act 2014. Identified locations in the city suitable for development
of vending zones.
As a public information officer, improved the transparency and accountability of the office through
effective implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005 through which citizens can access
any information under the control of public authority.
Assisted the corporation in identifying and developing locations suitable for development of new
industrial estates.
Prepared the feasibility and project development reports, cost estimates, rate analysis, technical
specifications and contract management documents of construction projects.
Effectively coordinated with multiple stakeholders including land owners, industrial units, design
consultants, contractors and other government departments.
Responsible for overall supervision and construction quality control of a green field industrial estate
development project of 500 Hectares with a project cost of 100 Crore Rupees.
Scrutinized the layout and building plans submitted by the Industrial units to ensure compliance of
the factory buildings and industrial sheds with development control regulations.
Performed performance assessments and cost optimization studies for the Bus Rapid Transit
System in Ahmedabad City.
Assisted a team that worked on preparing a detailed project report for bus procurement in Vadodara
City, Gujarat.

Successfully lead a team of technicians for conducting various nondestructive tests as per the
Indian Standards related to quality assurance of infrastructure projects. Conducted analysis of the
test results and report preparation.
Awarded as the best performer by the company for the year 2011 for successfully handling multiple
testing projects across India.
EDUCATION:
Worked on thesis titled “Municipal Finance – Challenges and Prospects – A Case of Municipal
Corporations of Gujarat”. Examined the financial performance of the municipal corporations of
Gujarat. Analyzed the fiscal position of by conducting a cross sectional analysis of the income and the
expenditure sides.
Calculated the levels of underspending done by the municipal corporations in provision of core
infrastructural services. Investigated the factors responsible for this underspending and suggested
measures for improvement in the service delivery.
