C. Design Goals and Objectives

• Natural ventilation for communal areas like hallways, corridors, lobbies and lounges.
• Limit structure into three floors only and observe proper location of stairs and fire exits.
• Façade must follow the character identity of a specific car dealer/showroom.
• Façade design must reflect the dynamism of the architecture profession.
• Development must maximize the use of landscaping, parking, water feature, and etc. to complement the building.
• Observe and study the circulations and Interrelationship of spaces and the Observance with the Minimum Design
Requirements set by existing Building Laws and Regulations.
• Apply the green concepts and considerations in planning and designing.

E. Design Criteria / Presentation


Site Floor Plan
• Showing technical description, boundaries, orientation, and position of proposed building/structure in relation to the lot,
existing or proposed access road and driveways and existing public utilities/services. Existing buildings within and adjoining
the lot shall be hatched and distances between the proposed and existing buildings shall be indicated.
• SDP drawing must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation on a one (1)
WHOLE CARTOLINA size paper or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.
• Drawn to scale of not less than 1:200 showing: gridlines, complete identification of rooms or functional spaces.
• Site Floor Plans/ Plans should reflect the Column Grid & Flow Pattern of the Project.
• PROVIDE in your Floor Plan the following important drawing details.
-Section Lines -North Orientation
-Property line -Columns
-Gridlines -Furniture pieces & Fixtures
-Dimensions -Doors and Windows location and designations
-Roof lines -Floor elevations
-Space Label/Identification -Others
• Must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation. Use one (1) 15x20 size
paper for the Two Interior Perspectives or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.

Elevations
• Project your elevations base on your Perspective and Floor Plan, make sure that you provide the exact accurate details.
• The suggested minimum floor to ceiling heights (floor to bottom of a beam) is 2.7 meters.
• Provide all necessary details in your elevations (e.g., At least 6-7 material specifications, Dimensions, Height labels, Column
grid, Drawing title and scale, human-scale figures, trees & plants elevation, etc.).
• Elevations, the same scale as floor plans showing: gridlines; natural ground to finish grade elevations; floor to floor heights;
door and window marks, type of material and exterior finishes; adjoining existing structure/s, if any, shown in single hatched
lines.
• Must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation. Use one (1) 15x20 size
paper for the Two Interior Perspectives or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.

Sections
• Project your sections base on your Floor Plan and Elevations, make sure that you provide the exact accurate details.
• The suggested minimum floor to ceiling (floor to bottom of a beam) height is 2.70 meters.
• Provide all necessary details in your sections (e.g., Dimensions, Height labels, Furniture pieces, Architectural finishes,
Ceiling details, Column grid, Drawing title and scale, human-scale figures, trees & plants elevation, etc.).
• Sections, showing: gridlines; natural ground and finish levels; the outline of cut and visible structural parts; doors and
windows properly labeled reflecting the direction of opening; partitions; built-in cabinets, etc.; identification of rooms and
functional spaces cut by section lines.
• Must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation. Use one (1) 15x20 size
paper for the Two Interior Perspectives or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.

Exterior Perspective
• Follow your submitted Elevations in doing the exterior perspective.
• Perspective drawn at any convenient scale (ACS) and taken from a vantage point (eye level) and must be proportional to
paper size. Project the structure in a 2-point NORMAL VIEW PERSPECTIVE.
• To lend architectural significance to your exterior perspective, include also entourage elements [trees, plants/shrubs, cars,
fences and gate, street lamps, sky, road, sidewalk, animal figures, human figures, etc.].
• Must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation. Use one (1) 15x20 size
paper for the Two Interior Perspectives or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.

Interior Perspectives
• Follow your submitted Plan and layout in doing the interior perspective.
• Perspective drawn at any convenient scale (ACS) and taken from a vantage point (eye level) and must be proportional to
paper size.
• Show the details and designs of major architectural interior elements, wall partitions, furnishing / finishes, furniture pieces,
fixtures, equipment’s / appliances, etc.
• Must be fully rendered using ANY coloring medium following standard drafting and presentation. Use one (1) 15x20 size
paper for the Two Interior Perspectives or alike IF these materials are available, otherwise ANY plain white paper will do.
• One interior perspective per sheet.

Title Block
• Use point 1.0 technical pen or marker for the borderline and point 0.6./0.5 technical pen for the title block and letterings.
(see uploaded sample borderline and title block).
1.00 CM margin - TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT part of the paper. (depending on Instructor’s directions)
• Use LANDSCAPE PAPER Orientation.
