ABOUT FACULTY OF MEDICINE
The Faculty of Medicine provides a unique learning platform for
nurturing and developing the medical knowledge of the students
so as to ensure the welfare of humanity and ensure the health
coverage for all. We have committed our efforts towards
producing the most effective human resources with the medical
competencies which go on to drive medical breakthroughs in the
various fields of health sciences. As a way of developing the
practical skills and knowledge of the students, the faculty is
equipped with a multi specialty teaching hospital which serves
the purpose of imparting within the students the revelent
practical skills and knowledge. The students are also exposed to
insights and guidance from doctors and medical experts who
shape their understanding in preparation of their career in
healthcare. With our well-equipped laboratories, the Faculty of
Medicine has become one of the most cutting-edge centres for
research and development. So, take the first step towards a
vibrant journey in Medicine
ABOUT THE
INSTITUTE
Our Institute – Parul Institute of Paramedical Helath sciences (PIPHS) offers
various programs like Diploma, B.Sc, B.Sc Hons and M.Sc with 09 different
specializations such as Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Cardiac Care
Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Laboratory Technology,
Neuro Sciences, Operation Theatre Technology, Optometry, Radiography,
Renal Dialysis and also offers Diploma in Health Assistant, PhD, Fellowship
and Certificate programme. The Institute is dedicated to designing and
implementing various clinical and academic modules to provide latest
knowledge in the health care sector. The institute is located in sprawling lush
green campus of Parul University and is associated with Parul Sevashram
Hospital, a 750 bedded multispeciality hospital, for providing hands on
clinical exposure to the students. The institute has more than 1600+ students
on roll, which includes 700+ fulltime international students representing
more than 25 nationalities. The institute is actively engaged into pursuing
research in different sectors of healthcare such as Critical Care Technology,
Cardiac Care Technology, Neuro Sciences, Optometry, Medical Laboratory
Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, Radiography, Clinical Research
etc. Even though being in the nascent stage, the Institute has gained repute
in the field of healthcare education due to its association with reputed

THE ADVANCED SKILLS &
SIMULATION CENTRE
The Advanced Skills and Simulation Centre at Parul University provides a
physical model of critical and pre-hospital training that includes all the
necessary elements of hospitals, including a fully-stocked Operating room,
a Surgical Unit, a functioning Intensive Care Unit, a Triage and Emergency
Unit, an ECHO and Cardiac Diagnostics Unit, a Critical Care Simulation Unit,
a Trauma Simulation Unit, an Advanced Obstetrics Unit, a Neonatal Unit,
along with Task Training areas. The Advanced Skills and Simulation Centre
is envisioned to be the Centre of Excellence which will impart empirical
knowledge and skills like Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support Training, Basic and Advanced Trauma Workshops, Surgical
Training, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Emergency Training, Paediatrics
Training, First aid and Emergency Training, Radiological Training, Advance
Ophthalmology Training, Critical Care Training, Hospital Infection Control
Training and so on by using high fidelity simulators and task trainers.
Medical & Paramedical students can evaluate their ability to manage real-
life emergencies by practicing and can enhance clinical, psychomotor, and
communication skills. Exposing professionals and trainees repeatedly to
actual medical situations for advanced treatment and care of patients with
varied medical and surgical disorders are the main focus of the Advanced
Skills and Simulation Centre.
