Order Dealer SIS Web Subscription

Dealers that do not subscribe to the Service


Software Site License, order one RWEB9000 from
Media Logistics for each dealer user account
desired.
No order needed for dealers that subscribe to the
Service Software Site License user subscription

Dealer Profile Administration
Enter administration

Enter CWS ID and


password in Login
ID and Password
boxes.

Enter dealer code and


password in Dealer Code
and Password boxes. (upper
case)
Profiles can be set up and
assigned to multiple users.
Select Profile Maintenance.
Click OK.

Four options appear.


To add a new profile,
select Add Profile.
Click OK.
A Profile ID is automatically assigned. Enter a name for the profile in the
Profile Description box. This description will appear by the ID # for
reference during user setup.
If all product families and prefixes are desired for the profile, select the
check box to enable automatic addition of new serial number prefixes
to this profile in the future. NOTE: Do not select checkbox if product
family viewing will be limited. If checked, ALL new product prefixes,
regardless of product families initially chosen for profile, will be added to
the profile as they are added to SIS Web.
If all information types should automatically be added to a users profile,
select the check box to enable automatic addition of all new
information types to this profile in the future. NOTE: Do not select the
checkbox if information type viewing will be limited. If checked, ALL
new product prefixes, regardless of security level of the information, will
be added to the profile as they are added to SIS Web.
Select the product
families to be accessed
from the Product Family
box.
Click the All button to
select all products (as in
this example);
or hold the
Ctrl key and click
only on desired product
families.

Click the OK button.


Select the sales model
serial number prefixes to
be accessed from the
Sales Model and SNP
box.
To limit access to
specific serial number
prefixes, hold the Ctrl
key while selecting
desired prefixes; or to
select all serial number
prefixes, click the first
serial number in the list,
scroll to the bottom of the
list, press the Shift key
and click the last serial
number in the list (as in
this example).
Select the information
to be accessed from the
Information Type box.
Click the All button to
select all information
types (as in this
example); or select
desired information
types while holding the
Ctrl key.
Click the Save button to
save the profile.
Dialog box will appear
to confirm addition of
the new profile. Click
the OK button.

Order Customer SIS Web Subscription
1. If Numerical Parts Record (NPR) access is not required by
customer, skip to step 2. If NPR access is required:
a. NACD Dealer SIS Coordinator:
• Processes the Customer SIS agreement
• Orders CNPR9000 (no charge) from Media Logistics
• Go to step 2
b. APD, EAME & LACD Dealer SIS Coordinator:
• Orders CNPR9000 (no charge) from Media Logistics
• Receives Customer SIS agreement from Cat Intellectual Property
• Processes the Customer SIS agreement
• Go to step 2
2. Dealers with a Service Software License (DVDN0002) may set up
an unlimited number Customer SIS Web accounts. There is no
subscription to order. Dealers without a Service Software License
should order Customer SIS Web Single User Access (CWEB9000)
through Media Logistics.

Select NPR only for profiles to be
used for customers with a fully
executed SIS copyright agreement.
Click the Save button to
save the profile.

Profile & User Maintenance
All actions require initial three step login procedure:

2. Enter CWS ID & Password

3. Enter Dealer Code & Password


Update a Profile
View a Profile
Delete a Profile
Update a User Account

Update a Profile

Select Profile Maintenance.

Four options appear.


To view available
profiles, select Update
Profile.
Select the profile to
update. Click OK

Profile details are


displayed.
Update the profile
as desired. All
users with this
profile will be
affected by
changes. Options:
•Change the Profile
Description
•Select the
checkbox to
automatically add
all new prefixes to
the profile
•Change the
Product Family When changes are complete, click OK button
•Change the Sales then click Save button.
Model and SNP
•Change the
Information Types
Select OK to update
profile.

Select OK.

View a Profile

Select Profile Maintenance.

Four options appear.


To view available
profiles, select View
Profile.
Select the profile to
view. Click OK

Profile details are


displayed.

Delete a Profile
Select Profile Maintenance.

Four options appear.


To select from available
profiles, select Delete
Profile.
Select the profile to
be deleted. Click
OK

Select OK to delete
the profile.
NOTE: Deleting a
profile will disable
SIS Web access for
all users with that
profile.
Select OK.

Update a User
Select User Administration.
Click OK.

Four options appear.


Select Update User.
Click OK.
Enter the User ID
and click Submit
button or click on
View User List link
to view a list of all
users. Click on the
hyperlinked user
type to update the
desired user.

User details are


displayed. Make
changes to fields as
desired. Click OK
button.
Click OK.

View a User
Select User Administration.

Four options appear.


To view user details,
select View User.
Enter the User ID
and click Submit
button or click the
View User List link
to view a list of all
users. Click on the
hyperlinked user
type to view the
desired user.

Delete a User

Select User Administration.


Click OK.

Four options appear.


Select Delete User.
Click OK.
Enter the User ID
and click Submit
button or click the
View User List link
to view a list of all
users. Click on the

type to delete the
desired user.

Select OK to delete
the user.
Select OK.

Non-Service Software Licensed

If the cancelled user was either 800-566-7782 (North America only)
a Dealer SIS Web Single User 309-266-0940
subscriber or a Customer SIS Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm CST
Web Single User subscriber,
contact a Media Logistics
Subscription Analyst to cancel
the subscription. Annual
subscriptions are automatically
renewed and invoiced in Back To Profile & User Maintenance
January unless cancelled.
