Assertiveness and Self Esteem

This document summarizes a research study on assertiveness and self-esteem in Indian adolescents. The study assessed 60 adolescents in Bangalore, India using the Rathus Assertiveness Schedule and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. The results found that most adolescents had moderate assertiveness and over half had high self-esteem. A significant positive correlation was found between assertiveness and self-esteem. Assertiveness scores were also significantly associated with age and education level. Education level was the only variable significantly associated with both assertiveness and self-esteem scores. The study aimed to better understand the relationship between assertiveness and self-esteem in Indian adolescents.
