the feeder H.

6. Voltage/Frequency
1) Voltage/Frequency Description
V : Set the strength of vibrations, i.e. a force that the feeder coil pulls the upper plate of the feeder via.
F : Set the resonant frequency of the feeder, i.e. the frequency per second that the feeder coil pulls
the upper plate. The frequency with the highest strength of vibration is a resonant frequency.

* Principle of Feeder Vibration

If the feeder coil is supplied with sine waveforms of output, i.e. alternative waveforms of
+ electricity and - electricity, then the feeder coil pulls the upper plate when + electricity and
the upper plate returns via a spring force when - electricity.
The vibration of the feeder is generated by repetition of pulling and returning.
Voltage = Pulling force, Number of vibrations per second = Frequency
The resonant frequency varies depending on the structure of the spring and feeder,
so supplying suitable frequency for the spring and structure is setting of frequency.

2) Voltage Setting
: Turning the encoder volume with the VOLT-marked lamp ON changes the set voltage.

3) Manual Setting of Frequency

: Convert the voltage(VOLT) and frequency(FREQ) selection with the V/H ENT button.
Turning the encoder volume with the FREQ-marked lamp ON changes the set frequency.
Set the voltage to about 90.0V and convert into frequency setting.
Push and turn the encoder volume(varying in a 1.0 unit) and vary it up to 40Hz~400Hz
to find a resonant frequency band in which the feeder vibration is the strongest.

* Pushing the ENT button for 3 seconds turns ON the 3 lamps to start automatic conversion of
frequency. (Repeats 40Hz~400Hz)
Check the resonant frequency band and push the STOP button manually to stop it.

Turn the encoder volume to General(varying in a 0.1 unit) in a resonant frequency band to
check the starting point and final point of the resonant frequency band.
Set the frequency to the middle point of the resonant frequency band.
(Frequency setting completed)
Set the voltage to a strength of vibration necessary for voltage setting. (Voltage setting completed)

* If the voltage control range is large, then the frequency resonance band may differ.
Control the frequency finely through frequency setting to check whether it is at the middle point
of the resonance band.

4) Automatic Setting of Frequency(Auto Tuning)
: Install a vibration sensor VS50 to find the resonant frequency automatically and to use it
for the purpose of automatically compensating the vibration variation.

VS50 Specification
* Working power voltage : DC5V
* Working voltage range : DC3.5~6V
* Working temperature : -30℃~+85℃
* Cable length : 2M(basic), 3M, 5M
* Sensor operation outline : This works in a principle of measuring
the change in the condenser capacity
of a sensing cell that changes depending on motion.

VS50 Installation Method

a) Install the indicated arrow direction and the feeder vibration direction in the same direction.
b) Install it at a position where the change in feeder vibration can be well detected.
c) After installation, open the controller nameplate and connect it to the Connect at top
of the board body.
d) Detects it automatically and displays the connection and operation condition with the
F/B display lamp.
Displays the reading of vibration values with flashing of F/B lamps, and after completion,
operates the constant amplitude function.
The constant amplitude function stops during V/F setting.

Auto Tuning Method

1. Set the voltage to 90.0V, and push the ENT button for 3 seconds.
2. The 3 lamps are turned ON to start auto tuning. (40Hz~400Hz)
3. After finishing auto tuning, the auto tuning ends automatically.
4. Control the voltage(V) to control the strength of vibration at an available speed.

* If the voltage control range is large, then the frequency resonance band may differ.
Control the frequency finely through frequency setting to check whether it is at the middle point
of the resonance band.
