Analysis
Guide Questions:
a. How do you define sculpture?
The most enduring and, arguably, the greatest form of fine art known to man,
sculpture has played a major role in the evolution of Western culture. Its history
and stylistic development are those of Western art itself. Sculpture, an artistic
form in which hard or plastic materials are worked into three-dimensional art
objects. The designs may be embodied in freestanding objects, in reliefs on
surfaces, or in environments ranging from tableaux to contexts that envelop the
spectator.
2. If you were a sculptor, what piece would you make? What could be the materials you will
use?
If I were a sculptor, the piece would I make is a statue, because statues convey
and perpetuate honor. Consequently, no matter how important their historical role,
villains simply do not merit statues, nor do they merit having their names
associated with lakes or streets or schools or military bases and etc. And the
materials I could be used is cement, steel, and wires. heart outlined.
3. Today I learned
What I have learned sculpture is the other kind of artwork or art appreciation,
shows how this kind of art’s productive, expressive and not easy to make, because
sculpture is also tactile one could actually touch it and feel its various textures and
forms, the branch of the visual arts that operates in three dimensions which is
physically presented in the dimensions of height, width and depth and one of the
plastic arts. And mostly you’ll see sculpture on models for history, religious,
traditional sculpting derive from Greek and Roman Sculpture of Classical
Antiquity. For me it is one of the convincedly and appreciably forms of art, the
sculpture.
