General Instructions
1. This question paper contains five sections A, B, C, D and E. Each section is
compulsory.
2. Section-A carries 20 marks weightage, Section-B carries 10 marks weightage,
Section-C carries 18 marks weightage, Section-D carries 20 marks weightage and
Section-E carries 3 case-based questions with total weightage of 12 marks.
3. Section-A comprises 20 MCQs of 1 mark each.
4. Section-B comprises 5 VSA Type Questions of 2 marks each.
5. Section-C comprises 6 SA Type Questions of 3 marks each.
6. Section-D comprises 4 LA Type Questions of 5 marks each.
7. Section-E has 3 Case Studies. Each case study question comprises 3 case-based
questions, where 2 VSA Type Questions of 1 mark each and 1 SA Type Questions is of
2 marks. Internal choice is provided in 2 marks question in each case-study.
8. Internal choice is provided in 2 questions in Section-B, 2 questions in Section-C,
2 questions in Section-D. You have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such
questions.

Question Numbers 36 to 38 are case study questions carrying 4 marks
each:
36. In a class of 90 students, children play football, cricket and badminton. 55
play crickets, 53 play football, 35 play badminton. 25 play cricket and football,
13 play cricket and badminton and 3 play all 3 sports. The school plans to
award certificates to all the students in the class for each of the sports they
played.
Based on the above information, answer the following questions:
(i) How many children will get a certificate for cricket
only?
(ii) How many children will get a certificate for only
football?
(iii) How many children will get a certificate for football
and badminton? OR
How many children will get at least two certificates?
37. Logarithm of a positive real number n has two parts.

38. A man repays a loan of ₹ 4320 by paying ₹ 30 in the
first month and then increases the amount repaid by ₹

Based on the above information, answer the following

(i) How long will it take him to clear the loan?
(ii) How long will it take him to clear the loan if the loan taken was ₹ 610 more?
(iii) How long will it take him to clear the loan of ₹ 4320 if the amount repaying
started at ₹ 195 per month?
