SFXS: PHONE SCROLLING THROUGH TIKTOK. KNOCK ON DOOR.

MAX
(Shouts)Come in!!

SFXS: BEDROOM DOOR OPENING.

DAD
(Sternly) Your mum and I are going out now. Try not trash the place and
we don’t want you to have anyone round.

MAX
Got it.

SFXS: BEDROOM DOOR CLOSING. FAINT FOOTSTEPS. FRONT DOOR

CLOSING. BEDSHEETS MOVING. MAX STANDING UP. PHONE CALLING
ON SPEAKER.

MAX
(Excitedly) Hey Charlie! My parents have left, you can come now!

CHARLIE
(Excitedly) Yay I’ll leave in a min, I’m picking Aria up on the way!

MAX
(Excitedly) Cool, see you in a bit!

EXT. FRONT GARDEN. EVENING.

SFXS: SILENCE. CAR PULLING UP. RUNNING ON CONCRETE. CAR

DOOR OPENING. STEPPING OUT OF CAR. CAR DOOR CLOSING.

ARIA
(Excitedly) Heyy!!
 MAX
(Excitedly) Come in guys, we’ll go up to my room.

SFXS: FOOTSTEPS ON CONCRETE. FOOOTSTEPS ON CARPET. DOOR

CLOSING. 3 PEOPLE WALKING UPSTAIRS. SITTING ON BED.

INT. HOUSE. EVENING.

ARIA
Your rooms changed since I last saw it.

MAX
Yeah, I redecorated.

CHARLIE
And she finally has a TV in here!

MAX
Wanna watch something?

ARIA
We should play a game instead.

CHARLIE
Truth or dare?

MAX
Okay! Truth or dare Aria?
ARIA
Truth.

MAX
When was the last time you lied?

ARIA
This morning.
SFXS: BANGING NOISE IN THE DISTANCE.
ARIA
Did you hear that?
 MAX
Probably just wind.

ARIA
Anyways, Charlie, truth or dare?

CHARLIE
Dare.

ARIA
I dare you to...
SFXS: BANGING NOISE IN THE DISTANCE.

CHARLIE
Okay that definitely wasn’t wind, it sounded like it was coming from the basement.

ARIA
I dare you to go down to go down there.

CHARLIE
Absolutely not
.
ARIA
A dare is a dare. You have to.

CHARLIE
(Sighs) Only for a minute.

ARIA
Perfect.

SFXS: GETTING UP OFF OF THE BED. 3 PEOPLE WALKING DOWNSTAIRS

FAST. DOOR CREAKS OPEN.

MAX
Go on down then, I’ll time it, 60 seconds. The door has to be closed too.

SFXS: WALKING DOWNSTAIRS SLOWLY. DOOR CREAKS AND SHUTS.

CHARLIE SHUFFLING ABOUT DOWNSTAIRS WHILE MAX COUNTS
DOWN.
 MAX
59, 58, 57..
SFXS: SILENCE FOR 10 SECONS.
MAX
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. You can come back up now!

CHARLIE
(Relieved) Thank God.

SFXS: WALKING UP STAIRS FAST. DOOR HANDLE TWISTS.

CHARLIE
(Worried) Guys it won’t open!

MAX
It’s fine it locks on its own sometimes, there should be a key at the bottom of the
stairs just to your right on the shelf.

SFXS: RUNNING DOWNSTAIRS.

CHARLIE
(Yells) I can’t find it!

MAX
Uhhh, check the other shelf at the back of the room.

SFXS: FOOTSTEPS.

CHARLIE
(Yells) I can barely see anything in here.

*Charlie screams*
SFXS: LOUD BANG ON THE FLOOR
ARIA
(Yells) Charlie are you okay?!
(Yells) Charlie?!
SFXS: DOOR KNOB RATTLING. BANGING ON DOOR. PHONE RINGING
IN DISTANCE.

ARIA
(Panicking) Answer it.

SFXS: RUNNING TO HOME PHONE. PICKING UP THE HOME PHONE.

MAX
Hello?

UNKNOWN MAN
(Creepy voice) You’ve made a big mistake sending your poor, poor friend down
there alone.

MAX
(Panicking) Who is this?

UNKNOWN MAN
(Creepy voice) I’d run if I were you. How does a 10 second head start sound?

*heavy breathing from Max and Aria*

SFXS: TWO PEOPLE RUNNING. HEAVY BREATHING.

ARIA
(Heavy breathing, whispering) Here, under the bed!

SFXS: 2 PEOPLE GOING UNDER THE BED, SHUFFLING, HEAVY

BREATHING.

MAX
(Panicking, whispering) I’m so scared Aria.

ARIA
(Panicking, whispering) Me too, it’s okay, we’ll be okay.

SFXS: LIGHT FOOTSTEPS ENTERING ROOM. FLOOR CREAKING.

MAX
(Heavy breathing) Hold my hand.
SFXS: MAX AND ARIA TRYING TO KEEP THEIR BREATHING QUIET.
FOOTSTEPS GET CLOSER.
UNKNOWN MAN
(Whispers creepily) Found you.
SFXS: SILENCE.
