Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Improve learners’ vocabulary through learning new words.
b) Read a variety of reading materials silently.
c) Develop learners’ understanding of the materials read.

Teachers create a quiet and conducive reading
A. Pre-Reading 10 mins
atmosphere.
Brief relaxation exercises for a reading mindset
Learners read independently or with a partner.
Teachers also set a positive example by engaging
in reading.
B. During Reading 25 mins Minimal movement or distractions; learners stay
focused on their books.
Encourage writing or drawing if a learner finishes
early.
Voluntary sharing of interesting parts, themes, or
book recommendations
Teachers facilitate a brief discussion on the
importance of reading.
C. Post-Reading 15 mins
Learners relate stories to personal experiences
during sharing.
