Burgle Bros--The Office Job Scenario (Intro game--2 floors)

Set Up--Quick Start Guide

1. Choose a random character card and choose which side to use.

2. Each player takes the corresponding meeple and 3 stealth tokens.
3. Shuffle the Tools, Loot and Event decks individually and set off to the side.
4. From the floor tiles, find all the tiles that have a white circle around the number in the bottom
right. From these tiles with white circles, set aside the 2 Stair tiles. From the other tiles, find and
reserve 2 of the Safe tiles. All the other floor tiles are not used in this scenario.
a. You should now have 28 floor tiles with white circles + 2 Stairs + 2 Safes.
5. Shuffle the 28 floor tiles and create 2 decks of 14 tiles each, one for each floor.
6. Place 1 Safe tile and 1Stair tile into each of these 2 decks, then shuffle each deck separately and
deal each face down into a 4x4 grid to represent 2 floors of the bank.
7. Place the walls between tiles of each floor, as indicated in the rulebook (The Office Job scenario).
a. Or for advanced wall layouts you may generate a random layout by going to
http://gabob.com/burgle (be sure to select Office Job scenario from the drop down)
8. From the Patrol cards, remove all those that have a 3 in the bottom corner; also remove the 3 Lost
Visual cards and the two blank Patrol cards that just have a triangle in the bottom right corner.
Separate the remaining 32 Patrol cards into 2 piles of 16, based on their indicated floor (as shown
in the bottom right corner of each card; ignore the black/white differences in number). Shuffle
each deck separately and place each deck near its correct floor.
a. In a 1, 2 or 3 player game, from each of the 2 Patrol decks, discard without looking, the
following number of Patrol cards:
 3 players: Discard 3 cards from each deck
 2 players: Discard 6 cards from each deck
 1 player: Discard 9 cards from each deck
b. Optionally, you may place one Lost Visual card into each Patrol deck. (See rulebook
under Mini Expansion: Lost Visual for details).
9. Put a Guard meeple and a red Guard die next to each Patrol deck. First floor die starts at 2 pips,
2nd floor at 3 pips.
10. From 1st floor Patrol deck, reveal the top card and place the Guard on the tile indicated.
11. As a team, choose any tile on the 1st floor where you want all the burglars to enter and mark it as
the entrance with a Downstairs token. Each player enters this tile on their turn (no effects are
triggered on this starting tile).
12. Reveal the next 1st floor Patrol card and place the red Patrol die on the indicated tile (When the
Guard moves, he will move toward the die, unless an alarm re-routes him).
13. Do nothing to the 2nd floor at this time. When a player enters the 2nd floor, repeat steps 10 and 12
above, but use the Patrol deck for the 2nd floor.
14. In any manner, choose who goes first and the heist begins! That player starts taking her 4 actions
followed by the Guard movement, then the 2nd player, and so on.

TO WIN: Open both safes and escape with the loot through the stairs on the 2nd floor to the roof,
without getting caught. Once all players escape to the roof in this manner, the game is over and you
have won.

TO LOSE: If any player must lose a stealth, but has none left, all players lose.

Burgle Bros--Fort Knox Scenario (Expert game--2 floors)
Set Up--Quick Start Guide

1. Choose a random character card and choose which side to use.

2. Each player takes the corresponding meeple and 3 stealth tokens.
3. Shuffle the Tools, Loot and Event decks individually and set off to the side.
4. From the floor tiles, remove 2 Safes and any 2 Stairs and shuffle the remaining tiles.
a. You should now have 44 tiles + 2 Safes + 2 Stairs.
5. Separate those 44 tiles into two equal piles and then add a Safe and a Stair to each pile.
6. Shuffle each pile again and lay each down in a 5 x 5 grid.
a. Because there are only 48 floor tiles, each floor will now have one empty spot. This spot must be
in the same location on both floors and players can choose where the empty spot is located.
b. Take 12 walls per floor and either place them randomly between tiles (making sure no area is
blocked off and inaccessible), or you may generate a random layout by going to
http://gabob.com/burgle (be sure to select Fort Knox scenario from the drop down)
7. From the Patrol cards, remove the 3 Lost Visual cards but include the two blank Patrol cards that just have
a triangle in the bottom right corner.
8. In this scenario, if there is a red triangle on the Patrol card, you ignore the red square on that card
and the red triangle becomes the default location.
9. Separate the Patrol cards into 2 piles, based on their indicated floor (as shown in the bottom right corner
of each card; those with the white circle are for the first floor and those with the black circle are for the
second floor). Shuffle each deck separately and place each deck near its correct floor.
a. In a 1, 2 or 3 player game, from each of the 2 Patrol decks, discard without looking, the following
number of Patrol cards:
 3 players: Discard 3 cards from each deck
 2 players: Discard 6 cards from each deck
 1 player: Discard 9 cards from each deck
b. Optionally, you may place one Lost Visual card into each Patrol deck. (See rulebook under Mini
Expansion: Lost Visual for details).
10. Put a Guard meeple and a red Guard die next to each Patrol deck. First floor die starts at 3 pips, 2nd floor
at 4 pips.
11. From 1st floor Patrol deck, reveal the top card and place the Guard on the tile indicated.
12. As a team, choose any tile on the 1st floor where you want all the burglars to enter and mark it as the
entrance with a Downstairs token. Each player enters this tile on their turn (no effects are triggered on
this starting tile).
13. Reveal the next 1st floor Patrol card and place the red Patrol die on the indicated tile (When the Guard
moves, he will move toward the die, unless an alarm re-routes him).
14. Do nothing to the 2nd floor at this time. When a player enters the 2nd floor, repeat steps 11 and 13 above,
but use the Patrol deck for the 2nd floor.
15. In any manner, choose who goes first and the heist begins! That player starts taking her 4 actions
followed by the Guard movement, then the 2nd player, and so on.

TO WIN: You must crack all 3 Safes, (each Safe having 7 or 8 numbers in the combination) and escape to the
roof, from the 2nd floor with loot in hand. Any cracked tokens shared on a tile by two Safes, counts toward
both.

TO LOSE: If any player must lose a stealth, but has none left, all players lose.
