Through this lesson the learners should be able to:

B. Appreciate the importance of oral language, stance and behavior in different oral
communication situation
C. Use the appropriate oral language, stance, and behavior when giving information,
instruction, making explanations, and narrating events in factual and personal recounts

A. ACTIVITY
The teacher will ask the students for their experiences about miscommunication.
Was there any miscommunication between you and your classmates or friends because of
their misinterpretation of your action and words?

ACT and INTERPRETE!


Look for a pair, the Learner A will act according to the picture below without talking and the
learner B will interpret or give the meaning. The activity must be shown to the class.

B. ANALYSIS

LANGUAGE- is any formal system of gesture, signs, sounds, and symbol used or conceived as
a means of communicating thought, either through written or spoken.

ORAL LANGUAGE- is the process of utilizing knowledge and skills to speak and listen
effectively through the proper use of true to life ideas/information, words and grammar.

Attributes of Effective Oral Language


1.CLARITY- language must have a correct grammatical structure/ Words to be used should
also be precise and can be understand by the audience.
2.BREVITY(Direct and conversational)- speaking orally or delivery a speech involves a live
audience. Simple words shall make the person you are talking to easily understand.
3.Appropriateness- the language should be appropriate to the environment or occasion

Group in to 2, Each group you will be assign to portray certain scenario with proper stance
and behavior with 3 or more skit using oral language. Create a 1 minute act.
