Greetings and thank you for purchasing my text message kit project.
I did my best to make it as
easy as possible to edit. Hope you will like it. When you first open the project you will see a bunch of folders with different versions of text messages. Smartphone versions - android, facebook, iOS and windows phone. And as for site posts it’s facebook, instagram and twitter.
First let’s take the android version as an example.
When you open the folder you can see four premade compositions for four, ten, twenty and two messages. Also there’s a folder named placeholders and a precomp folder, which you don’t have to edit. If you open one of the premade compositions you will see a sequence of text messages. But first we will have to edit the text in the bubbles. For this you will have to open the placeholders folder and the text placeholders folder. Open the first composition named left bubble 01. As you can see it’s a pretty simple composition with only three visible layers. Controls, date and text. If you select the controls layer and go to the effects tab you can see all of the controls for this specific text message. What can you control from the effects tab? Bubble width offset. Bubble height offset. Bubble color. Bubble opacity. Text color. Date color. Date size offset. You can enable or disable the text animation. You can enable or disable the message sound effect. Enable or disable the typing sound effect. Enable or disable the voice message. It’s completely automated. Check the checkbox. The voice message visualisation appears and the length of the voice message is set to match the length of your sound file from the voice placeholder composition that I will show to you later. The animation is also matching the length of the audio file. And the last checkbox is to enable or disable the picture in the message. I will show you later where to insert your pictures. To edit the text just doubleclick the layer and enter your text. Same goes to the date and time layer. That’s it for this composition. You don’t need it anymore. The text you entered applies to all the visualisation methods for android. Now we have to edit the second message. Open up the Android bubble right 01. It is edited exactly as the previous message. All the effects controls are exactly the same for all smartphone messages. Let’s make this message a voice message. All you need to do is tick the voice message checkbox. Everything else we can leave as it is. Now we have to add the voice itself. The voice placeholders are located in the Voice placeholders folder. Open the corresponding composition. In this case it’s the voice message right 01 composition. By default the voice message file is a placeholder that you have to replace. Just drag and drop your voice audio file to the top of this composition and disable the other files. The same goes for the pictures in the message. Open the picture placeholder, select the corresponding composition, drag and drop the picture you want to send as a message. Don’t forget to tick the checkbox for the image. If the image doesn’t fit the entire bubble you can change the width and the height with the controls I’ve shown you earlier. For the other messages you just repeat these steps. We’re almost done. Now you can open one of the premade compositions. You don’t have to worry about keyframes at all. All you need is to move the desired message and all the other messages will animate automatically. If you want to switch the messages you just switch them. Say you want two messages in a row from Albert Einstein. Just place the compositions in the desired order. Everything applies to the other premade compositions. Also there is a folder global placeholders. These are placeholders that apply to all the messages. Avatar left. Avatar right. Incoming message sound placeholder - the placeholder for the incoming sound. Outgoing message sound placeholder. And the typing sound placeholder. I’ve included several variants of these sound effects but you can ofcourse add your own. The avatar is just a picture that you drag to the composition. There is also a folder named messages with footage. There are two compositions there. The first one is a simple two message composition. It uses one of the seventeen 4k footages that I’ve included in the project. You can find them in the assets folder, footage. This composition uses some simple tracking to match the movements on the phone. All you have to do is enable the desired version. As you can see the android version has our voice message enabled. Oh look! Nikola Tesla has sent us a voice message. Pretty pleasant I must say. Also there is a version with ten messages and a background. Same goes here. Don’t forget to enable the corresponding audio track. In the global placeholders folder you can change the incoming or outgoing sounds. You can use one of the sound from the assets folder or ofcourse import your own. The same goes to the typing sound effects. That’s it for the text messages. Now let’s quickly open the site posts compositions. Facebook, instagram and twitter. There are two methods of visualization for each post available. To edit the post open the placeholders folder. From here you can edit the post itself and add the pictures for the commenters. Open the post itself and you can edit all the text fields. As you can see, facebook post are pretty complex so you will have to write lots of text. The comment bubbles are sized automatically. The same goes to the instagram and twitter posts. That’s it. Write your messages and posts and render it all out. Thanks!
