Fitting Big Function to Small Things

I entered the Virtual Museum expecting it to be boring and to be overloaded by

information where intel will just promote itself. But to my surprise, it has an interesting
history and background. The company started with two established individuals who they
already worked with inventing integrated circuits and Moore’s law. They are already
working at Fairchild, which is a successful semiconductor company, but it is not enough
for them, they want a company that will not only manufacture but a company that will
work on its product where it will improve and create new products. This dedication and
thinking makes them successful as semiconductors is a great trend but there is not
much in the market for it.

They established Intel, which is just a small company, but it still became a competent
company that is leading when it comes to the creation of new chips and semiconductors
that arguably have boosted the technology that we have. Other companies are even
dissatisfied with Intel’s innovative solutions despite them being far better than what they
have ordered. Those who did not like the improvement have gone bankrupt, but Intel
now becomes a tech giant as we know it.
I learned that the company had spearheaded breakthroughs that developed the
technology that we currently have. Just like how a problem experienced from a chip has
now become a feature that is necessary for a computer to have since it uses the ability
to control currents to program it and use UV light to erase its contents controlling its
data. Then when they accepted a challenge to build a 64 SRAM, not only did they build
it but they also went over and beyond to make it 2x faster than what is available in the
market.

Intel is so known because of its promising products; they can excel in the market that
they become a top choice for the products that they have offered. But when there are
times that they are not much known they have done the iconic “intel inside” which made
their product known and implies it has quality which is truly a successful and great
choice of marketing. Even now when I saw that sign with my laptop, I am confident that I
have a processor that has quality to the point that I have not removed the sticker yet.

The great quality of their products is made possible by a great process that they follow
where they design the mask, make it, use it to create many chips, and then test its
quality, and then deploy it. Then their facilities are optimized greatly and they have a
highway-like system for resources to travel. Even the light, water, and electricity are
optimized so that the quality of products can be maintained.

Being able to peek at what intel was back then and compare it to what it is now truly is a
delight. Intel being founded by individuals who are involved in the technology industry
and wanting more than just to manufacture had led to the greatest innovations in
processors. Because of the stories that I have heard I now gain a greater respect and
appreciation not only for intel but every component currently created and will be
created.

Extra captures that amaze me:

Interesting to know that they have dabbled in different technologies.

Amazing to see a previous device that had worked with the earlier products of intel
This is further proof of what a powerhouse is the founders of Intel.
I don’t know what it does, but it looks interesting.
