Experiment No 3b Object Diagram Handout

This document outlines an experiment to develop an object diagram from a class diagram. It explains that an object diagram represents instances of classes, field values, and how classes relate and interact through inheritance and functions. It aims to teach how to draw object diagrams based on class diagrams and represent objects in classes. Finally, it lists some sample quiz questions about objects, object diagrams, UML diagrams, and software development.

1. Aim: To develop an Object Diagram

2. What will you learn by performing this experiment?

We will learn how to draw Object Diagrams from the Class Diagrams, and how to
represent the objects in the class.

3. Hardware & Software Required: PC Desktop, Rational Rose

4. Theory:
The object is an instance of the Class. The Object Diagrams are drawn based on the
Class Diagrams.

An UML Object diagram is a representation of:

1. the objects in an OO system.

2. the values of the fields

3. how various classes and related and how they interact or inherit from each other
through functions.

Example of Object Diagram:

5. Procedure/ Program:

6. Results:

7. Conclusion and Discussion:

Thus class diagrams have been understood.

8. QUIZ / Viva Questions:

 What are Objects?

 How are Object Diagrams derived from Class Diagrams?
 What are the advantages of UML diagrams?
 How these modeling diagrams would help in software application development?
 How do we represent private, public and protected in class diagrams?
