ABSTRACTION
Duration : 1 week
Materials : Graphite pencils, White Cartridge paper.
Paper size : 300mm x 3oomm

Objectives:
• By a method of seeing, visualizing and sketching try to
distinguish the appearance of things and recognize
the design ideas.
• to explore the language and vocabulary of lines and
basic shapes.
Concept :
The basic shapes of a stapler machine are
collected And they are organized
following the principles of composition.

TONES AND TEXTURE
Duration : 1 week
Materials : White plastic wood, Iron net, foam
sheet, Plaster bandage
Paper size : 300mm x 3oomm

Objectives :
• To understand the principles of generating
texture.
• To understand how to tactile quality can change
the expression of similar form.

Concept :
The texture of the fungus in the trees is
represented in the model

EXPLORING SCRAP MATERIALS
Duration : 1 week
Materials : Paper board, Plastic pipes
Base size : 300mm x 300mm

Objectives:
1. To understand the characteristics of scrap materials,
their quality and usability.
2. Learning to feel the bonding of diverse materials and
exploring them in 3D composition
3. Learning to express design principles and concept
through the variation of materials, layers and
arrangement

Concept :
The plastic pipes are organized in a
dynamic way. And the concept of this
project is the continuity. The continuous use
of water.

BENEATH THE SURFACE
Project Duration : 4 weeks
Materials : Styrofoam, Swedish paper
Model size : 600mm×600mm×100mm
Objectives:
1.To understand the drawing of an
architect & identify the key elements
from them.
2.To create 2D composition exploring
them in 3D.
3.To express the architects expression
through 3D composition.

Concept :
The Imperial War Museum by
Daniel Libeskind has selected as
the reference of this project. Daniel Libeskind
was a musician and thought a movement in
the structure of his work. In a word, his work was
too much dynamic. So there is also a reflection
of dynamism in this project.

The Smith House

Architect : Richard Meier
Location : Darien, Connecticut, USA

The Smith House was built between 1965-1967 by Richard Meier & Partners
Architects. Richard Meier recalls of the project that would later propel his
career as an architect: “I was working out of one room of a two-room
apartment shortly after leaving the office of Marcel Breuer. The house is
has a compact shape with clearly defined prisms and clear glazing that
gathers the reflections of the interior and natural landscape, colluding
them into inseparable images. Meier performed additions and
subtractions on the main cubic volume, and the resultant white walls,
geometric design, and layered use of glass have become Meier's trademark
style.

RECONSTRUCTION OF COLOR WHEEL
Duration: 1.5 Week
Materials: Styrofoam, Swedish paper, Poster Colors
Base SIZE: 1’8” x 1’8”

Objectives:
• Getting familiar with color wheel, recognizing individual colors and
their relationships to other color.
• Understanding and analyzing hierarchy of various color groups and
classifications - primary, secondary, warm, cool etc.
• Understanding and applying properties of color – hue, saturation,
value, shade, tint.
• Learning to mix colors.

The color wheel is made of only the primary colors -

red, blue and yellow and the neutral colors- black
and white. By mixing to primary colors, I have
achieved the secondary and the tertiary colors.
Again the primary colors have various tint and hue.
This achieved by mixing the neutral colors- black
and white.

MASTERS AND COLORS
Duration: 1.5 Week Renzo Piano (1937-1993)
Materials : Styrofoam, Swedish paper, Poster Colors
Base SIZE: 12’ X 8”

Objectives:

• Learning to analyze and recreate the Phases:

stylistic features and choices of an
architect.
• Revision of vocabulary of basic elements
(dot, line, plane, shape, form… etc.) and
design principles (space, balance,
symmetry, rhythm, flow… etc.)
• Deriving and applying suitable schemes
based on color psychology and stylistic
features of a design.

I have followed the working style of Renzo

Piano. At first I have collected some
drawings and the plan, elevation of him.
Then I have traced his working style. His
buildings are mainly ribs type. And he
created a harmony with the oval shaped
facade. I have done this with a base relief
style. Again His working style is more
dynamic in the static earth. So I have used
the orange and yellow color with neutral
color scheme to reflect his working style. Final Model

FORMS AND FRAGMENTATS
Duration: 1.5 Week
Materials: Styrofoam, Swedish paper, GI Wire,
Poster Colors.
Base SIZE: Diameter 8” x Hight 6”

Objectives:
• Understanding the primary form, the Phases:
articulation of their surface, their dimensional
and formal characteristics
• Understanding and applying additive and
subtractive transformation with reference to
the geometry and surface articulation of each
platonic solid.
• Analyzing and applying the impact of a force
or a motion
• Applying the knowledge of color psychology
and color schemes with the fragmentations.

Cylinder has a spiral energy. It creates a

dynamism in dynamic way. Again the
center part of the cylinder is so stable. I
have also created this motion through my
fragmentation model. I have used the
blue color in the spiral part and red color
in the stable part.

MUSIC MORPHOSIS
Preli Model:
Song: Shawana Gagane
Ghor Ghanata
Artist: Rabindranath Tagore
Raaga: Malhar
Taal: Tritaal
Word Cloud
(Work In Progress)
Objectives:

• Understanding and analyzing a piece of

music.
Frame work
• Applying the analyzed results to create
architectural composition.

• Learning to translate one abstract form into

another.

I have selected the song Shawana

Gagane Ghor Ghanata by
Rabindranath Tagore. It has written on
the raaga Malhar. This raaga is sung to Phases
invite rain to the earth. Again the
dangerous nature in a rainy night is
defined in the lyrics of the song.
Therefore, I was trying to design a model
that symbolizes a powerful energy is
coming to the earth and fractured the
clam and neutral land.

SCRATHBUILDING ADVENTURES
Phases

Exploring Mechanical objects

Duration: 1 Week
Materials: Scrap martials, Spray color, Poster color
Form Size: Hight 6”, Width 3.5”
Objectives:
• Being able to identify the possibilities of various forms,
and to be able to deconstruct and reconstruct them
into new interesting combinations.
• Understanding mechanical joints and the attempting to
recreate believable mechanical joints.
• Exercising design knowledge and form language to
come up with interesting forms.

At first I have observe the forms of the

different objects and also deconstructed
the forms. Then I have studied the paneling
function of mec robots, big-medium-small
principle. After that I have designed a
functional mech robot. I have used a
golden.
