This document proposes a Fog Computing Architecture of Load Balancing (FOCALB) for scientific workflow applications. FOCALB uses a hybridized load balancing algorithm called Tabu-GWO-ACO that combines tabu search, Grey Wolf Optimization, and Ant Colony Optimization to improve resource utilization and implement load balancing at the fog layer. The algorithm schedules tasks when initialized and local controllers in fog clusters perform load balancing. Simulation results using iFogSim show that FOCALB reduces energy consumption, execution time, and implementation costs compared to other models. The article discusses open challenges and directions for future research in fog computing load balancing.
